work is....sometimes a lot
work had mostly been okay yesterday, but of COURSE in the last half hour of my shift, things got....weird. a customer tried to bring her dog in, got upset with me when I told her no, and then eventually whined about putting it back in the car until she realized I wasn't gonna let it slide.
okay, cool, whatever. you don't have to like me. she came back without the dog - thankfully! - and then...started talking to other customers unprompted?? first she tried to give them advice on which lingerie to get, before asking them what she should get. I generally don't like customers talking to each other because like...would you like a stranger talking to you about what vibrator to get???? luckily the girls she was talking to didn't seem too creeped out.
anyway, after grabbing something, crazy dog lady goes to wander the vibrators while mumbling over and over to herself "I never do this sort of thing but my boyfriend thinks I should have a toy for myself...I'm doing this because I love him, I'm doing this because I love him so much..."
which is just like. weird???? I don't fuckin care why people are buying sex toys but she managed to make it weird for everyone!!
when she finally decided to check out, she came up with a pretty damn expensive vibrator??? but I'm not here to judge, and I definitely didn't want to try to help her since she was FREAKING OUT over the concept of it even vibrating in the first place. she also tried to explain to me that she only wears cheap Hanes underwear from Walmart so she's not sure why she's getting lingerie!!! but she just loves her boyfriend so much so she's willing to put up with it!!!
the whole experience was just like, so fuckin wild??? she made me uncomfortable and the other customers in the store didn't look too happy about her either :T
anyway. that's how my Sunday went before I got to go home and play d&d. so it got better :D
