the hunt for a kh3 ps4 pro
so since square/disney/sony/etc has decided to do this in the most bullshit stupid way, it's next to impossible to get your hands on the kh3 special edition ps4. like yeah, I can't afford a second ps4 (even tho I want one!!!), but Pat can and that's the ps4 he wants.
Friday: wake up to find it randomly announced with no warning. I saw it online and was like oh okay, cool, I'll go into a gamestop and reserve it because I know Pat wants to pick it up release day. Liz and I went to our fave gamestop - because of course the one across the street from us sucks fuckin ass - and they can't find it in their system yet. the manager tells us to check back in a few days, and that if he sees it come up he'll try to make sure we get one.
cue a couple hours later, we find out that it's sold out everywhere already. Pat's disappointed, for obvious reasons, but I always have faith (because I'm lucky person).
Saturday: after work, Pat comes over and we're all playing KH2. I take a break to scroll twitter, and I see tweets about there being more of the systems available, but you have to physically go to a gamestop to get one (not online). the three of us throw our shoes and coats on, run out the door, and head to gamestop. the manager sees us, looks it up, puts the fucking system in the cart for checkout, and it gets deleted before Pat can pay because they sold out already.
which is. fucking. bullshit!!!! apparently there were a few copies available online too but???? I heard store only so we went to the store!!!!
this brings us to today. I'm at work now, but I'm gonna be stalking gamestop.com and twitter all shift to see if anything drops. I just. it's such a fucking mess of a release that I don't understand it???? like how fucking limited did they make this system???
it was so poorly handled that the manager at gamestop didn't even know it was available until we told him. because just...no one communicated?? which yeah, sounds like gamestop, but still!!!!! at least he's super understanding...he's the same one who tried to help me get a pokemon switch after they were sold out, and was then super pumped for me when I managed to track one down at target. so I think he knows us as the people who keep buying limited edition systems XD
anyway...here's hoping I can find the system for Pat!!!! it looks fucking gorgeous and I want to see it in person!!!!
