A/N: Carnival Dates - a drabble set, or whichever fits the short and quickly-made writing bill. :D

A New Adventure With You
Pairing: QMi
Rating: PG-13

Summary: The second step right next to being officially together, Kyuhyun plans to take Zhou Mi to an amusement park. Unfortunately, someone is utterly afraid of heights, clowns and twirling, crazy rides.

--

It was when you are smitten that you want to show just about anything wonderful existing to the person you love. There was a candle-light dinner, a midnight stroll, doing sleepovers. Kyuhyun had a list of to do’s, almost as long as he could fathom if he could finish them within a year, things to do for and with Zhou Mi.

A year to look forward with him. Kyuhyun couldn’t wait. What had the Chinese man done to him? Even to his ears, Kyuhyun sounded so… unusually romantic. Then again, it had been years of silent admiration after all. Him, the awkward computer student and Zhou Mi, in the fine arts department. Two different worlds and yet found a meeting point somewhere.

Namely Heechul.

“Your effort is almost admirable; I could hurl my dinner out.” Heechul told over the line, speaking to Kyuhyun during an ungodly hour since the latter called for a ‘date-emergency-call-now!’ call. “But don’t expect me the one doing the hurling later. Oh, boy, how are you gonna live later?”

Later meant a date. A date with Zhou Mi. To a place Kyuhyun was dreading for more than ten years already because Ahra and her mean-sisterly antics that involved clowns and riding the roller-coaster seven times scared the shit out of him ever since.

“Could you at least be supportive? Zhou Mi has never been to… Seoul’s biggest park so I’m taking him there. Besides, who said I’ll ride the rides? You know I can’t.”

Kyuhyun could almost hear Heechul picking his fingers while he spoke, “yeah, sure, don’t ride anything and your hot boyfriend will wonder and find out your problem is and then he’ll feel bad you taking him there.”

“I-did you just say Zhou Mi’s hot? Hey!”

During this moment that any retort against Heechul was not going to work. He was right. He needed to do something about his carnival-fright for later.

If there was a book on How To Overcome Clowns and Rides in Less Than an Hour, he’d gladly buy it. Kyuhyun really wanted this date to work out. For Zhou Mi. He had yet to kiss him too. What was he going to do?

Just the Two of Us, Hopefully
Pairing: EunHae
Rating: PG

Summary: Eunhyuk plans to impress his date with a total makeover, with invitation to an amusement park. Little does he expect mayhem to follow when he walks around with a blonde hair and girls hitting on him.

--

It took him pleading and a bribery-lunch to get this: a salon treatment under Shindong’s creative hands and eyes. Eunhyuk had shared his sentiments of wanting to look great for a date he initiated with Donghae, a guy he really liked for the longest time. And by wanting to look great equated with fixing his hair and attire for a whole new approach, just for that special day. Shindong was ready to chuck a round brush at Eunhyuk for calling him in at almost eleven in the evening.

“You do realize that this is house service, worth more than just a lunch? You are treating me to anything for the next two weeks!” Shindong resisted the urge to pull hair but acquiesced. “This Donghae guy must really be special, huh? You said you always loved this current style of yours and didn’t want to change it?”

Eunhyuk looked at the mirror, finding Shindong’s reflection gaze on him. “You should meet him, man. I mean, I just… Going on a date with him? I really want to make a jaw-dropping impression.”

And by jaw-dropping impression, Shindong took it up a notch and introduced a hair-color Eunhyuk wasn’t sure he could work it. So four hours later…

“I look like a walking light-bulb,” Eunhyuk said, taking a blonde tuft and inspecting it. “I think I like it.”

Shindong hurrmped, proud and feeling accomplished, “Of course you do. And you better wear the right clothing colors for it, alright? Black, black is sexy for the blonde one.”

“Will do.”

Excited as any fan-girl meeting and greeting an idol, Eunhyuk was ready. He couldn’t wait to show it Donghae. He was so game for The Day.

What he wasn’t ready for were the stares. Anyone who walked his way, or even by bystanders, was staring at him. Did he look that odd? Should he just wear cap or a bonnet instead? It was unnerving him. Until he saw Donghae rushing from the entrance to greet him; his smile pleasant and he was sweating and Eunhyuk thought he looked wonderful still.

“Hey, I’m glad you made it.” Eunhyuk offered, heart beats noisy inside his chest but he tried to remain calm. He realized that Donghae was staring speechless at him, growing red by the second. “Something wrong?”

“Y-you’re… I mean…” Donghae was babbling and staring at Eunhyuk, which was a rare feat. Was Eunhyuk making a mess of thoughts to Donghae? Oh, how he liked that idea.

“Ah, the hair?” He asked, sufficing the missing words and was resulted with a furious nod and tinted cheeks. He resisted the urge to tuck the bangs out of his eyes, all alluring and sexy. “You like them, Donghae?”

“I-I do… It really suits you.”

YES! Eunhyuk didn’t say anything and simply smiled; his hand glided to the back of Donghae to lead him further into the park. With a raging heart and mind that Donghae seemed to like what he did, Eunhyuk was remarkably calm. He didn’t want to scare the man off after all. He had to play cool. Yes, cool.

This date was going well, according to plan at that. The next would be an intimate ride in the Ferris wheel and a sweet lunch and-

“Oppa! Oppa! You look so cool! Can I take a picture with you?”

The two had stopped to look behind to several girls and their cellphones at hand, all sparkly eyes and pouty lips at them. For a moment Eunhyuk thought they were referring to Donghae until he was grabbed by the arm and pulled into the crowd.

“H-hey!”

There were camera snaps and giggling sounds after and Eunhyuk couldn’t do anything with the tight hold on him. Like a captive. He sent a sideway glance to see an emotionless Donghae, heart sinking at the sight.

The moment this would be done, he’d immediately take Donghae somewhere they could spend together alone. These girls were yanking at him like he was an inflatable doll.

“Thank you, oppa!”

Eunhyuk awkwardly bowed, out of habit, then noticing Donghae’s legs walking away from his peripheral vision. “H-hey, Donghae! Wait for me!”

Donghae was quiet as they walked. It clawed Eunhyuk right through the chest. He was almost reaching for Donghae’s hand but paused to rethink.

This wasn’t supposed to happen, not even part of his plan. Donghae was supposed to be smiling, not like this.

His hand was held instead, surprising him. Eunhyuk immediately looking up to see Donghae just staring ahead; not even a glance in return. Slowly, he read the words the fell out Donghae’s mouth, a whisper he heard through the heart.

Eunhyuk is mine.

He couldn’t help saying the same thing inside his head. You are mine too, Donghae.

Thus, this date continued.
