Rating: PG-13
Genre: Fantasy!AU, Romance, Comedy (with a tinge of Drama)

Summary: Sungmin was tasked to take care of priceless artifacts and be a good exhibit organizer inside the museum, not lift the curse and fall in love with a statue-turned-human. Whichever came first.
--
The final displays were brought in, clothed and protected at the utmost. Several of which were paintings and objects and a few larger than him, some smaller. They had to be handled carefully, as he was instructed to. It was easy, really. Sungmin already knew the what’s and how’s of museum preservation since he learned it for more than two years. He didn’t love arts and history for nothing.
“Do you want me to take the ladder back to the storage room? We’re kinda crowded in here.” Henry pointed the space that had all the items that were to be arranged and fixed for the exhibit, all were taking a lot of area together with the said ladder.
“Yeah, yes please.” Sungmin called over, carefully balancing two canvases on his arms.
Helpful Henry, thought Sungmin gratefully, smiling. Ever since the younger one entered and joined for the sheer want of just being around the museum had been a good help. He wasn’t only friendly but also had a good sense of humor. Things got more interesting inside the museum because of the younger one. And also together with his fellow mates Kyuhyun, assigned to the west wing and Donghae at the reception area.
He placed the paintings down, ought to wipe the sweat off his forehead before any of those drop on the arts. Sungmin noted also his white shirt no longer white, with dark smudges in front. He probably smelled as well. A cool bath at home was at hand, that was if he finished arranging and taking note of what to bring in to the next empty hall.
He then remembered to clean out the said hall, all of its dust-glory on the floor. He groaned at that; the massive hall with its high ceiling and detailed pillars probably had dusts to clean off too. It looked like his bath had to wait. And with the things they were, so was his sleep. He was guessing that.
His watch told him it was past four in the afternoon, the sunlight against the stained glass window at the other side of the room informed him too with the way it reflected pretty colorful patches on the floor and on a large object he hadn’t notice that was standing there before. It made a good silhouette, slightly revealing to be a sort of statue. A human-sized statue. Sungmin couldn’t help but stare.
“Henry? Do you know what this is?” Sungmin called, turning to see Henry arriving at the door and heaving. He then glanced back the object to indicate what he was talking about.
“Oh, uh, not sure? Didn’t it just come with the rest?” Henry shrugged. “Though there was no information card. That, or probably I misplaced it? Lemme check the moving truck again.”
“Sure. Do that.”
Sungmin was left alone to marvel at the piece, coming closer for much inspection. It was taller than him by some inches if the platform hadn’t something to do with it. There was a sneak peak below, just a tiny one by the feet that said it was probably made of marble. Like Statue of David or La Pieta, perhaps? But the size seemed to indicate that there were no two persons in it like La Pieta. Just one, standing. What pose, Sungmin was curious to know.
But knew better he shouldn’t. Well, not right now, that was. He still had very old vases and relics to move. He had to ask Henry to bring in little wheels to lift and move the large objects for more convenience.
He missed to avoid the electric cords that sprawled next to his foot and he tangled with it; made to grip anything he could reach to break his fall. The thing his hand just had to get was the cloth that covered that larger-than-life statue.
He dropped with a loud thud. Clouds of dust flew in various directions.
“Ow ow ow,” his hand on his nose, making sure it didn’t just break into a million pieces. Even if that sounded awfully ridiculous he just had to check. He probably looked dirtier than ever too, seeing as though the floor had been covered with dirt that had yet to be cleaned. If he knew he’d be kissing grounds soon he should have made efforts to make it sanitary first.
His hand felt the wool, thick and itchy, and jerked up to realization that he just accidentally unclothed the relic.
As much as he had seen statues and master pieces here in the museum, ones that came and gone sometimes, this right here had to be a truly a work of genius. Or a devil. No work could come close as perfect as this one - fine detailing, beautiful face, sweetest expression, gorgeous body. A frozen smile that really took his heart. Everything lighted by the stained glass above it.
And, well, he just praised a statue. A male statue at that. He was never actually the type those went googly-eyes for men in real life. With statues that couldn’t understand and know what he was doing, why not? No one would accuse him, no one would even know. He could be a drooling fanboy over a piece of work and no one would tease him.
Marble was the correct bet he guessed, immaculate and shiny and cold under his touches. He just had to know that this object was really just an object because, oh mother of fine arts god, it looked too real. So real, so unimaginable real that when it would probably be human, Sungmin might do a double-over if they meet on the street just to see a glimpse of the face. He would gladly run after this face and learn more of owner of it.
It made him reach for the jaw, as if expecting to feel warmth but didn’t. He felt compelled to act so endearing, to lean down to it to inspect lashes and even an evident dimple next to the smile. This was one masterpiece he would truly take care and preserve because it was just made of excellence. No flaw, no disproportion, no nothing.
And then he kissed it. A warm, soiled mouth to hard, unmoving lips. A peck. It just happened like that, with no control. Like he was in trance that he did so. He couldn’t stop himself even if he knew what he was doing.
“Hey, Sungmin-hyung, I couldn’t find the information card. Or any paper or folder about it. But I guess it’s fine? We’ll just take care of it like we always do.” Henry said from behind, followed by, “oh, were you cleaning the statue?”
There was like snow-cold water dumped above him, freezing him at his position with face inches away from the statue’s. He gulped, not even wanting look behind to save his flaming face and fumbled for the cloth. “Y-yeah, cleaning. Thanks for your hard work, Henry.” Sungmin spluttered out, made rubbing actions and thanked whoever was up there that his back faced the door. He could only hope that Henry didn’t see everything.
“Sure, man. I’ll go ahead now. You better take a rest too, hyung. You seemed so tensed.” Henry chuckled, which wasn’t far off the mark really much to Sungmin’s dismay.
It was then he was finally alone, Sungmin looking at the statue accusingly the second he heard the back door closing.
“You. Charming me to kiss you? What if my co-worker saw all that? And it’s against museum rules kissing masterpieces no matter how good-looking they are. We don’t hear cases of Statue David being molested, do we?”
The statue remained its beautiful, dimple smile. Sungmin felt three times more stupid scolding an inanimate object.
“Whatever. What the hell am I doing anyway?” He got the cloth and covered it immediately, preventing anymore self-causing embarrassment, and breaking those lifeless eyes staring at him knowingly.
He ran a dirty hand through his hair, willing his muscles to stop popping and hurting and reached for the broom to clean the mess. He’d finish this, a few more arranging and checking and then he was done for the day.
--
Henry called in to not being able to make it the next day. Something about university festivals and him supposedly attending because faculty made sure that attendance was a must. Sungmin understood that, told him to be a good university boy and go.
But, well, he was faced once again with the thought of cleaning the largest exhibit hall today. He could maybe ask Kyuhyun and Donghae to help him? It was just too big for one person to fix.
Then he just had to find out that Kyuhyun and Donghae left him a text message that they’d be late because someone’s cat just destroyed their couch. Kyuhyun and Donghae, roommates with Kim Heechul who they once told owned a demonic cat named Heebum. Sungmin believed that he shouldn’t know more other than that.
He came back to the receiving area; all were in placed as he remembered. With a clipboard at hand, he checked: the paintings, the vases, the medium-sized artifacts were there and where the statue was supposed to be was empty.
Empty.
Sungmin stopped right there, eyes wide and mental gears ceased turning.
Finally it dawned to him; the drop of his clipboard made an echoing clanking sound.
The statue was gone. Simply gone.
“Oh, shit. No, no, no. This is-this can’t be happening. How in the world…” Sungmin had rush to the same spot he was yesterday, eyeing frantically at any traces of something. He wasn’t sure where to begin or even how to react. He could only sum it up that they were robbed.
A museum being robbed. It was the worst thing that could happen in any museum and it happened to his.
He thought of a list of impossibilities of the situation, one that included that the statue was large and heavy. It took a machine to bring in it, or so he thought. How in heaven’s name could the thief obtain in?
Unless the man had accomplices? And a very fool-proof plan of stealing.
The more he thought about it, the more his heart cringed in dread. Flashes of polices and their investigation, the management and bystanders watching him and his carelessness. South Korea would know because media and news spread like wildfire. National Museum, robbed! He would be speechless, he would be immobilized and he would never ever forgive himself for letting this happen.
“Hello.”
He made to look from his trembling hands to the gentle, deep voice.
The face didn’t change, only it had more color. Human color. Flesh with a tinge of pink. The hair was as smooth as it looked and the muscles tightened as they appeared to be. The smile was there, the smile he knew of, especially that little dimple on one side.
Sungmin couldn’t mistake that person, that figure that appeared behind the shadow now shone by the light behind the stained-glass window. That body, that form, that perfect creation.
It was the statue and it was moving towards him, grinning rather happily at him.
No one could blame Sungmin fainting next.
--
“Oh, my god. What happened…? Ugh, my head.” Sungmin slowly reached for the throbbing spot behind his head, feeling an impending bump growing. The fall was bad, that he could assume because it rattled his brain to a headache too.
He then realized he was lying on a soft mattress. But, no, not a mattress. The museum didn’t have any of those. Only wooden benches.
“Are you alright?”
He came to realize his head was on a lap. And a careful hand on his head.
Someone’s lap.
Someone who wasn’t supposed to be breathing.
The statue.
Sungmin had never jumped as high as he did, scrambling on his legs until he had pressed himself on a wall. Self-defense in position. Finally his karate was going to be paid off. Well, maybe not.
“Y-you… You’re that-is this real? I’m still sleeping aren’t I? What are you?” His words were spluttering out in chains of incoherency, shocked.
“Yes, no,” the statue titled its head as if thinking. “I’m, well, this.” The statue made a gesture of flair with his hands, proudly showing his body. Breathing, moving. Alive.
No, not it. He. It was a he. If the little cloth around that man’s waist didn’t prove anymore of that.
“This can’t be.”
“I can be, because you made it so.” The man explained, as matter of fact tone that made Sungmin head spin.
“What??”
The man stood next, inquisitive eyes around the arranged paintings and even at the stained glass window above. “Wow, this place is really amazing. Have I been missing a lot?” He made his way to the door, ready to explore like a little kid inside carnival until Sungmin made dash to him.
“Wait, you can’t-don’t go out wearing only that!” Sungmin pointed the tiny excuse of trouser. Or skirt. Or whatever that was. It was the only thing he could spring up.
“I cannot?” The man said, surprised. Like what Sungmin had just said was unbelievable. “Now that I inspect so closely, you wear so many on you. Do you not feel warm? It is very warm in there.” The man pointed the receiving area. “Wear little and you will feel lighter and cool.”
“What? Wait, no. It’s not about that! Someone might see you!” Sungmin panicked at the thought Donghae or Kyuhyun deciding to visit his area, let alone arriving too early of a late. “Let’s just, ugh. Come with me. C’mon.”
The coat had at least covered the man’s body and the extra slacks made little room with how it only reached the calf but this was fine. This was good. Presentable, not too suspicious.
With the last door closing and the last lock secured, Sungmin took the man to the nearest hide out place where he could settle this calmly and not worry about anyone walking in on them.
His place.
At least he didn’t need to worry about the supposed future chaos of the museum about being robbed and the scandal that came with it. There wasn’t at all. There won’t be. It was just a statue now human left his place and made a short stroll. Thank gods for that.
No, wait. That didn’t sound right.
--
“Do you have, err, name?”
“Of course I do. Siwon.”
“Okay, uh, Siwon. Just exactly what-I mean, you were a statue. And now, you’re not.”
“A cursed statue.” Siwon corrected as he took hold of Sungmin’s phone, inspecting with sheer interest. “What is this curious thing?”
“Cell phone. You reach people with it. Talk to them” Sungmin impatiently took the gadget from Siwon and placed it away from his grabby hands. “Listen, are you supposed to be here?”
“You made me be here.” Siwon shifted himself on the couch, clearly uncomfortable with the pants he had on.
“You said it again. What does it mean?” Sungmin rattled his brain for any prospect of wishing someone or something to come his way. Last time he checked, he wished for a new set of gym shoes. Not this.
“I am not sure myself,” Siwon began to speak softly, growing timid all of sudden. “I just know that I’m out of this curse and human again. I thank you for freeing me, kind man.”
“Gah. Just call me Sungmin. And you said ‘human again.’ So you were human before?”
“Yes.”
Sungmin placed the back of his hand on his chin, listening intently. “Do you remember anything else?”
“That I’m a piece of work that can be saved, only by someone who strongly wanted to. That, and I probably lived a hundred of years ago. Do you guys use candles for lights? Those are very useful.”
Explained why his odd behavior with his surroundings was like that, Sungmin thought. The clothing, the gadgets and even the pedestrian streets they were stepping on. Siwon nearly jumped in surprised.
“We got electricity for that. And light bulbs.” Sungmin replied offhandedly, one finger pointing the bulb right above them.
Siwon’s face turned up, wondering. “What are… electricity and light bulb?”
Oh, this would a long, long day.
--
Days spent with Siwon was like teaching a toddler the ways of the world, even the simplest things like spoon and fork and laundry to complex like cars and escalators. Sungmin allowed Siwon to join him with his museum work, only if he behaved and didn’t go off to just about anywhere to satisfy his curiosity. For a grown man that was much taller than Sungmin, Siwon was honestly a child at heart. Always wanting to know.
He must be kept away for so long, Sungmin sensed as he watch Siwon reading through historical pages and smiling at new profound knowledge. He was especially interested with religion topics and all the was related to it - Christianity, Muslim, Buddhism, everything.
Even the use of computer and internet amazed him.
“Man has progressed so amazingly. Back in the day, we have to travel from one country to another just to gain such knowledge. And now, with this, made easy.” Siwon patted the monitor, as if it was good dog.
Sungmin had to admit that it made him more tired than he already was, now that Siwon’s under his care, as with the several museum items to look out for and prepare and the upcoming grand exhibit.
It was inevitable that Henry would meet Siwon, only that he didn’t recognize him at all. He only gave Sungmin a wiggle of his brow and knowing smirk.
Boyfriend? Henry mouthed, standing at the other side as they continued cleaning the hall. All innocence showing under that playful behavior.
Hell no, was what Sungmin mouthed back. A little annoyed, scrubbing the grime that won’t come off.
He couldn’t possibly feel that way for Siwon. He was a statue with looks to match and personality to coo at. Then again his curiosity to learn more, his odd habits of staring at just about anything to let the image and idea sink in, his incessant demands of trying to cook (“I haven’t tried cooking with this odd stove you call it. Ah… the food’s all brown now.”) when he just couldn’t were just some of things surprised Sungmin.
Sleep was a whole new experience too, because Siwon insisted Sungmin to take the other side of the tiny bed and not sleep on the bumpy couch. It didn’t matter if he was a guest. Siwon wanted him comfortable.
Sungmin pretended not to know, not to react but warm palm was always on his cheek every night and whispers of thank you’s lulled him into a better, restful sleep.
Well, was a statue. Now… Siwon was something more. No, someone more.
This made Sungmin even more tired. How the hell was he going to deal with something like this?
--
During the evening, just as he was about put away the dishes, he wasn’t expecting a prying call from the duo.
“So I heard you have this guy at your place. Didn’t even care to tell us? I’m hurt, hyung.” Kyuhyun said over the line, complete with mock upset. And the faint laugh at the background was probably Donghae, pitching in.
“What, who told you? Henry?” Sungmin asked, shocked, as he cradled the receiver between his shoulder and cheek while placing back the pitcher inside the cupboard. “And don’t use that tone on me, Cho Kyuhyun. You are a great pretender.”
“Hey! Can I concerned friend be concerned? I am to make sure you’re not going all the way like rabbits without protection. Now that’s friendship!” Kyuhyun laughed, like a madman. Which he actually was in nine in the evening, the older decided.
“What the hell.” Sungmin gawked, scandalized. If there could be any way to toss this pan at Kyuhyun right through the receiver, oh he would. “It’s not like that! He’s just someone I’m helping out, alright? Jesus, where the world do you get these ideas?”
“Well you never told us, so I’m assuming he’s a stranger staying there. We don’t actually see you much too to learn about it either. Though I wouldn’t know now, would I? Say, do you like this man? I mean, it’s you and you never ever let someone invade your personal space. Remember the time I used to work at your area? You practically threw me out!”
“It’s because you’re messy. And you don’t fix papers according to page number or alphabetical! And you leave crumbs and pizza pieces over my desk and computer chords around. You could’ve destroyed a hundred-year worth of good works of art.”
“Well, I’m sorry, Mr. OCD. I didn’t know.” A snort. “So, well, what? Mr. Unidentified Guy is, what? Live-in partner? Boyfriend? That kind of buddies? Donghae’s curious too, you know.”
“Kyuhyun, I swear…” Sungmin groaned, finally placing the pan down and leaning against the counter. “He’s not any of those and never will be anything. He’s just a man in need and I’m just here because I’m somewhat hold responsible for his arrival. The sooner he leaves, the better for me. I’m not sure how long this would take but I’m hoping before the exhibit he’s gone.”
“Fine, fine. Whatever you say, man. Don’t get too grumpy. I’m just asking.” He could see Kyuhyun holding up two hands, as if asking for truce. “Well, anyway, now that’s established, Donghae and I can finally get some peace. It’s because Henry’s badgering us to talk to you, asshole. You seemed so closed-off these days, he says.”
That boy, Sungmin murmured darkly. But it was rather sweet for Henry to worry but still. Going to Donghae and Kyuhyun for help would be the last option anyone should know. “Alright already. Sheesh. I’m very tired so I’ll catch you tomorrow. Or something.”
“You do that. Sleep well, bitch.”
Before he put the phone, he actually heard Donghae’s exclaimed, “Kyuhyun, you speak like Heechul-hyung! That’s scary!”
He heard footsteps towards the kitchen, Siwon coming in with sweats and a white shirt. Something Sungmin had for extras for him to wear.
“Hey, what’s up?”
Siwon fidgeted at first, before straightening up and putting up a strained smile. “Can I walk outside for a moment? I need cool air.”
“There’s the veranda over there?” Sungmin pointed the glass door, wondering Siwon’s sudden request and odd behavior.
“No. I want to talk a short walk. I won’t go too far. I’ll be back.” The insistency was there, and Sungmin couldn’t really do anything but let him. Siwon wasn’t a prisoner inside his place. No matter what circumstances they were in.
And he agreed because he was too tired to argue. After all, Siwon knew the ins and outs of his place and the outside building so he should be safe.
He watched him quietly putting on a coat, the same coat he lent to Siwon the first time they met and it didn’t change anything in how he looked with it. Still kind of short for the tall Siwon and he smiled at that, finding it ridiculously cute.
“Be back home, alright? Or else it’d get too cold out.”
“Yes.” Siwon had step out, only to look behind and speak in a whisper, “Sungmin, do you want me to be here at all?”
“What was that?” Sungmin perked up.
“Never mind. I will see you later, Sungmin.”
Sungmin didn’t realize that the back of Siwon walking away from him was the last thing he saw of him.
--
The morning cold bit him; his teeth clattering like an automated machine and his toes froze. The route to the museum had never been this too far, as long as he remembered, but it took him forever to reach the back entrance, fumbling with keys to get inside immediately.
He shouldn’t have slept. He should have waited. He should have not let Siwon out if he knew he didn’t come back home.
It was also stupid to wake up two hours later than normal. He should be at the museum by seven and it was already nine. He wasted already too much time. And he was dreading to the core for the missing Siwon. Had that man wandered off and lost his way? Was he taken? Did he injure himself? Did he actually take off and left? Where in the world was he? The possibilities were growing to a more and more bad scenario.
It was only place he knew where to start. The museum that held so many memories of Siwon and his child-like persona kicking in with the way he poked and snooped around one display after the another. Sungmin would start here and work his way around the place. It nagged to find him. It worried him immensely.
“Oh, hey, good morning.”Henry greeted him. Sungmin replied a short nod before starting with the entrance place towards the middle, to the halls and into the other rooms. And so far no Siwon. Not a single thing.
He ran inside the receiving area, just to check, only to find one big clothed display standing behind the pillar. Quiet, unmoving. A familiar figure. Taller than he was. Probably made of marble.
It scared him to realize that he didn’t need to search anywhere else any longer.
He stepped closer.
“Siwon…?” He asked in a whispery, frightened voice, taking hold of the cloth before pulling it away.
And then it felt hard to breathe.
There he was, pristine and frozen in time. Glinting against the only light source that was from the window. No flesh color, no slow heaving of chest, no voice speaking in a low, welcoming and lighthearted voice. It stood there as he remembered before, all flawless and made perfect. No longer a person but a statue of memory.
No longer a he but an it.
He heard the door opening, with Henry speaking.
“Oh, there you are. I made research about that statue,” a rustling sounds of papers. “It says that there were statues based from folklore about a doll turning human if they received the strongest form of affection. Love, as it says. If the owner feels strongly towards that doll, they become human. If the feeling wavers, they revert back. Cool, huh? The folklore also told that there were cases of dolls turning human completely when they - the doll and the owner - both reciprocate the feelings together. Something about a sacred gesture being done.”
Sungmin didn’t speak. He was too stunned to react, to even register what Henry was explaining.
“But, oh, that’s just folklore. Not even sure if it’s recorded legit. I need to make intensive research, hyung. Ah, I left the main door open!” Henry hurried off, closing the door behind him and leaving Sungmin inside.
The sting hurt his eyes and the tears burned his cheeks but neither could he stop from falling. Couldn’t stop his heart getting crushed at each second. Sungmin had started to cry before he knew it, immediately covering his mouth to restrain choking out sobs.
This wasn’t supposed to be.
“Why are you… You said you’d come back. You told me to you’d come home. This-I didn’t mean for you to go away. I was scared. I didn’t know how to deal with everything. How to deal with you. But if you’re no longer here, with me, I don’t-Siwon… No… Please.”
Sungmin reached for the cold face, for the motionless mouth and lightless eyes. He lingered there for a moment, trying to calm himself. Rationalizing everything that made sense, which might be helpful.
Something, anything.
I can be, because you made it so.
You made me be here.
A sacred gesture being done.
That feeling had resurfaced again, the trance that made him stood on his toes to reach. Inside his mind he prayed to meet the man behind the soulless figurine, to hear that voice speaking to him again, to learn more of man and his past and stay together in the present and be together - closely and intimately - in the future.
Sungmin wanted Siwon back, wanted him here. That alone had made him inch up higher to place trembling lips to cold and molded one.
He pulled back, eyes hopeful for a reaction. A gust of wind, little movement, blinking eyes. All he got was a still smiling statue that broke his heart after the next five seconds of realization that nothing had happened at all.
--
His phone was on answering machine mode, ignoring the invites of drinking out and partying the night away and meeting people from Kyuhyun and a laughing Donghae. He didn’t feel like seeing anyone, didn’t even feel like leaving his bed. Let him wallow for tonight. He wanted a good damn sleep. His head was splitting on him.
Then again, someone out there, by his door, didn’t want him to sleep just yet. His doorbell kept buzzing and buzzing until Sungmin threw the covers off him and trudged angrily. He swung the main door open before he could even look through the fisheye hole to check who it was bothering him at ten in the evening.
“Hey, I’m home.”
Sungmin might not be on his best looks with the way his hair stuck up in various direction and rumpled shirt and boxer and unwashed face but the man right in front of him smiled at him like the Sungmin was perfectly done. A beautiful, wide-eyes figurine.
That smile he learned by heart all too clearly, swept him off once more.
“How…” Sungmin gaped, taking a step back as the visitor made himself in. His blind walking finally made him reach the edge of the back rest of the couch.
“You made me be here, remember?” Siwon supplied. “This time, I’m staying because you made sure I would.”
Sungmin remained paralyzed, staring at nothing but Siwon and letting all the facial features, the hair, that dimple and the skin to burn inside his mind. “The prayers I said…”
“I could hear them even when I seemed like I couldn’t.”
He tried holding it in, trying to remain as cool but there was no way he wouldn’t be breaking down with Siwon smiling at him like that. Comforting and within a hand’s reach. Alive, breathing and standing right in front of him. He was ready to burst into a crying mess. “I thought I lost you… I’m sorry…”
“Never sorry for loving me, Sungmin. You saved me. Thank you.”
Sungmin wondered how he could go on without this in a day - a tight embrace and soft laughing body against him. Siwon was perfect for him and he fitted just as perfectly inside his tight embrace.
“Sorry about that ringing thing. I could hear it from outside but I wasn’t sure how it really worked.” Siwon said against his hair.
“The doorbell? That’s fine. If you rang once, I would’ve ignored you and called you a lost door-to-door business man.”
“Doorbell? What’s that?”
Sungmin smiled and squeezed the waist his arms were around and chuckled. They had all night to catch up on. And maybe something even more.
--
“Ah, Sungmin-hyung, did you know? The statue I was talking about yesterday was a cursed-slash-magical one? They appear and disappear without a trace. No wonder there was no information card on that one. Ours finally disappeared too.” Henry sighed, leaning back on his chair.
“Really? Surprised me too. But, hey, it wasn’t on the exhibit list so I guess we didn’t actually lose anything.”
“I know. But you wouldn’t believe that those statues, only three were made in the world. It’s a special statue, huh? Perfect in figure. Exceptional. They must be lonely, withstanding time to find that one person to make them feel, to make them human. Well, that’s what the article told me.”
“Lonely, huh?”
“Yeah.”
If Siwon was free, then that meant only two were out there somewhere. Sungmin wondered who could be the other persons who would be placed in the same situation he had. This was no accident, he believed. He was fated to meet Siwon, who was now happily playing house-keeper in the morning and watching the kids at the nursery place down the street after lunch.
“Ah, Kyuhyunnie and Donghae-hyung, you’re here!” Henry cheered as he jumped off his chair to greet the two.
Sungmin looked up from his notes, the one the listed the artifacts and data of the display and somewhat imagined how it would be if Donghae and Kyuhyun were the ones who was fated with the other two statues.
Well, that would be interesting. Crazy, but interesting still. It might work somehow.

A/N: Alright, there we go again. I can't completely check grammars and incorrect tenses because once again I'm updating during the most unusual hour of the day - almost 3AM. Please do tell me if I made mistake.
And, yes, welcome to my other OTP. SiMin is just adorable and very in-clicked together that I just had to make a story for them. This one's rather long, yeah. Made my back hurt so much for sitting non-stop throughout the day. Why am I like this? Killing myself with brain squeeze and the likes. Ugh.
As you know it, darlings, comments and cakes are loved. Let me know if you like the concept because, hur hur hur~ I smell QMi and EunHae sequel for this AU. Well, maybe. Who knows?
