I love this man. And am so sad that the stupid fangirls had to ruin the whole commenting thing for all of us. New Years was exactly the sort of day when I really really wanted to leave a comment for him.

Kasuga Nozomi - Haruka 3 (Watching Jess play these games, I totally fell in love with her.)

Taira no Tomomori - Haruka 3 (He totally /starts/ as a villain. He counts, right?)

Naruse Ryou - Maoh (Everything I love about a good antagonist, plus an underside of self-sacrificing guilt. What's not to love?)

We rewatched Firefly and Dead Like Me right at the end of the year. We were totally chatting TeniPuri on the 30th and the 1st though... so I guess it claims my whole year. Again.

1. What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before?
Hired and trained new employees. Chatted femmeslash. Attended a family reunion. Bought a serger. Watched my costumes go on stage without being on stage myself.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I pretty much failed. And I'm always making resolutions... but so far I haven't really kept any of them.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
No, but one of my girls at work is preggers.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
I lost my grandmother about a week before I was going to be going out to see her. I didn't realize that I'd miss her so much until she was gone.
5. What countries did you visit?
Only this one. I had a lame year.
6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
Money and the self control to conserve it.
7. What date from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
November 5th. Because I actually remembered it and remembered why.
Also November... 8th? Election day. Because, seriously! We did it!
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
The OTL promotion and our Inventory (.9%) and Audit (92%) scores, the NDK costume awards (2nd Master's Craftsmanship, 2nd Master's Overall), and the meeting and speaking with Kiuchi Hidenobu in Japanese.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Gaining more weight. Wasting a lot of money on things that I don't need (like fast food) and failing to pay off any large portion of my debts.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Actually no. Which is pretty nice. I'm supposed to see a dentist and a general pysician in the next month or two though.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
My DS. Fabric for Saku, Kagetoki, Masaomi, Shigehira, Tomomori, Atsumori and Rizuvaan.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Val. Best boss ever. Also my mom for certain developments in her personal life.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
My father, certain other people who shall remain nameless, and at times myself...

Importing CDs. Fabric and costumes. Merch. Conventions. TeniMyu and Arashi.

Actually, no. Though I have several annoyance factors in my life now that were lacking last year.

A promotion to something that was not MTL. A craftsmanship award at NDK.

I am now 24. I had worked 17 hours straight, got my store live on a new system, then came home and got drunk while watching Haruhi. It was fabulous.
