A little explanation re: my previous post
Existence is filled with dualistic themes: people can at once be set free via the information and also plowed under, mentally(/spiritually?) "disabled" from it. And, some people need to "become the beast" in order to be set free from it. Sometimes going crazy is what it takes for some people to be set free from the craziness of the world. Becoming a wild, ravenous artistic play, detached from everything around you, might be someone's path to becoming a real actor actively taking part in the world. But, other times people just stay crazy, they stay crazed actors immersed in literary or scientific or philosophical nausea, and what for some people is a vehicle for freedom for them is a vehicle for existential, mental, life-living-pragmatic turmoil. Literature, science, can all free...but they can, in subtle ways, submerge, overwhelm, and destroy, too. Just gotta be careful with what we do with them. :)
