End of week 45 totals:

Expected mileage: 450/520
Actual mileage: 455.433/520
Miles this week: 11.65mi

I am geek enough to have noted where precisely I was yesterday at the DC101 Chili Cookoff and mapped out my various paths around the drunk, the stoned, the fences, the booths, the portapotties on mapmyrun.com tonight and thank goodness I wore my effing Brooks yesterday - 3.65mi. Which does include a quarter mile of wandering in the wrong parking lot looking for my car. :P (I have mentioned that blonde is my natural hair color, yes?)

Notable:
Puddle of Mudd, Papa Roach, Shinedown... all lovely. Third Eye Blind, I don't know why they book the way they do. They try really hard to be a rock band when they are really, really not. Someone should tell them. And fix their audio board - they shouldn't sound like they need a recording studio.

Also, second year going, second year never trying any chili.

And because these posts have been so effing depressing lately, and depression is just so Not My Kink, here's my joie de jour.

10 Things That Made me Smile Today
1. Pink skies on the drive home.
2. A note my coworker slipped under my door today - she's got beautiful, scroll-y handwriting and she'd drawn hearts and stars all around my name. It's so cute I brought it home with me rather than toss it.
3. I've completely charmed my new front desk coworker. Alas, he's gay, otherwise, his pants? Totally off. ;)
4. Had mother/daughter clients today. The daughter did it as their Mother's Day outing. Aw. Best part? After the daughter's massage, she says to me, "you were just wonderful, give me your card, for Father's Day, I'm sending my boyfriend to you." :)
5. King St Cosi is my Cheers. They all know me there. As I was paying, one of the people there walked up, saw me, said, "I'll get the drink," made up the right thing, and handed it to me.
6. The other massage therapist and I are always on the same page with regard to equipment, oils and style. Awesomely, we're also on the same page with music. \m/
7. I'm pretty sure that my Reiki 1 student at the salon Reiki'd the computers. Not only are they actually working well, but I got literal jolts of joy when clocking in and out today.
8. One of the stylists called me Michelle today. I get called Michelle all the time by clients, doctor's offices, really, anyone who needs to know my name but not for long. I don't know why, I don't think I especially look more like Michelle than Melissa but this has been going on my whole life. I don't normally get it from coworkers though, not ones I've worked with for over a year anyway! I'm leaving and she says, "Have a good night, Michelle!" I just turned around and looked her, "did you seriously just call me Michele?" She thought about it a second and said that she had no idea why she called me Michelle. I don't know either but I explained my history with the name to her and we just laughed about it. Perhaps that's my name in an alternative universe?
9. Walking out today, I was twirling my keys around my finger, thinking about how well I did my 6 clients today. Today was the first time since the spa week hell that I've felt any sort of job satisfaction there.
10. Oh, did you notice? I was over 10 for the week! :D

reiki, coworkers, 10aweek, massage, 10, clients.compliments, drums and guitar fetish, what's my name again
