Hey look! An update!!
That's right ladies and gentlemen... a new journal update only 28 hours after the previous one!! :o
Jen and I had a fantastic evening last night. We got to do some laundry, buy some food, and put together some veggie pizza! We also saw the first 16 minutes or so of Matchstick Men, which is a great movie (I did actually see the whole thing at one point, so I am not just referring to the first 15 min ;) ).
I have been a bit tired today, but that doesn't stop me from grinning like a fool and telling inanimate objects how much life ROCKS!! Man do I love that girl.
Being in a relationship with someone that gives as much as I do is just... Wow :) :)
In other news, Meg's LJ entries recently seem to play up her current situation and play down our past more and more. This strikes me as a bit odd, but maybe it is just her way of dealing with things. Most recently she talked about how we are not friends and she never really knew me, almost like our whole relationship was some weird dream. I don't really think that is the case... I loved that girl to death when we were together, and I will always cherish the good times we had even though things did not work out in the end. Even after 8 years I would send her adoring looks from across the room, but I am not sure she ever really got it. I tried to tell that girl several times during out relationship that she did not really love me as much as she thought she did, or as much as I loved her... maybe she is finally starting to realize that. Meg does tend to forget all the positive things in any situation when she wants to, though, so I am not overly surprised by her current take on things.
At this point, the only emotion I can seem to muster is "Whatever". I am not her emotional babysitter any more, and I don't want to be. Maybe she will get over it and we will be friends again some day, or maybe she will just throw it all away because she thinks it was a load of crap. Either way, I know how I feel and that is what I have to focus on these days.
And now I am off to have something to eat and see a movie with friends. May you all have a week as merry as mine is turning out to be :)
