I have to stop writing journal entries and e-mails late at night. They take 10 times longer and still don't come out as good =P
ANYway, since I was feeling not-so-grand Sunday evening, I took a sick day on Monday to recuperate. I had lunch with dad, took apart my CD player to try and fix it, and mucked around on the computer for a bit. Most of the exact events during the day escape me, but they are not that important anyway. It was Monday night that kicked ass =)
I invited Jen to go ice skating with me at some point during the day. She agreed, but had to grab some groceries after work for the party on Saturday. I headed over to her place after she was back from the store, and we drove to the Depot in downtown Minneapolis.
We hit the ice at 9-something, so we got to skate around for a good while (the rink is open until 11pm). It all came back to me pretty quick, for which I was very thankful. Jen got stuck with some pretty crappy skates for our first few runs, but we got those switched out near the end. Neither one of us fell down even once! =)
Afterword, we headed back to her place and ended up chatting for a couple hours. I felt really bad for keeping her up so late... I didn't really notice the time until it was after 1am! =P
Overall I had a totally kick-ass time Monday night, and I hope Jen had fun too.
Tuesday (today) I was back to work, and ended up in a funk for most of the day. Thankfully Connal was free this evening, so I hung out at his place for a bit and we all went to see a movie. We did not end up having an early game night, but it was nice to get out and see everyone.
Now it is time to get my little butt in bed! This should be an interesting long weekend to say the least... =)
