Draco was exhausted from his long week at the office, and all he wanted to do was get home, have a bath and go to bed. Preferably with Harry, of course.
He arrived home to find the lights out, candles floating around the flat, and Harry in the kitchen, humming along to the soft music that was playing. It was classical, the rhythm slow and soothing - just what he needed. Harry hadn’t noticed him come in, so he snuck into the bathroom to have a quick shower. As he got dressed, he took the package he had bought for Harry’s birthday out of his closet. He wasn’t going to wait.
“I didn’t hear you come in,” Harry said, looking a bit confused but happy to see Draco as he entered the living room.
Draco smiled. “You were a bit preoccupied.”
“I knew you had a rough week, and I wanted to do something special for you.”
Draco looked up at him. “Harry, before we start, I want to ask you something. You are everthing to me. Will you marry me? Will you be my husband?”
Without hesitation, Harry looked up at the love of his life, and said “yes.”
