Hitting that stretch in fic where you just want to get it over with; sadly the end is still a little distance away. I think 7k words is my natural stopping point - up to 13k-ish now and it's just, ugh. Neck porn is not supposed to take this long to write

you see him doing all this little stuff on the ice, teaching his rookie, pulling another rookie away from a fight and whispering in his ear (probably about how now is not the time!). . .
This is... good to know? He and Patrick Kane sound like pretty awful people tbh, though they seem to be great at what they do (and Tazer's undeniably a great captain, as far as I've heard).

Blink. How is Jonathan Toews an awful person? (Patrick Kane I won't argue. *g*)

ETA: And sorry, I don't mean that I'll argue Toews, either - I'm just curious why you think that, since I really haven't seen too much negative news about him unless it's the fact that he stuck up for the player's association during the lockout. Obvs I am not acquainted with him and he could be a huge jackass IRL for all I know. *g*

Lol no worries! In Toews's case, I mean awful in a hilarious way - mostly that he's crazy competitive and ill-tempered about it. I figured he'd be mean to his teammates or something. BUT WHAT DO I KNOW ABOUT HOCKEY AND HOCKEY PEOPLE

Ohhhh ahahaha, HE IS AWFUL IN AN AWESOME KIND OF WAY. And apparently he's being way more positive this season! No stories of yelling or discontent at all. :p

...of course, the Hawks have also been doing insanely well this season, so that might have something to do with it. *g* But um, HERE HAVE SOME PHOTOS OF TAZER WITH LITTLE KIDS.

Lol I think there's like a Tumblr that's exclusively for hockey players with kids.

And feel free to share/pimp! My favorite is the one where Toews allegedly tackles his teammate and calls him a fatty over a videogame. XD And maybe recs for must-watch games/plays? I mean, besides the 2010 Olympics final.
