Guide
♔ White King - The one Michael holds in the highest esteem and respect with power, also the one he will ever take orders from.
♕ White Queen - People who have more power than Michael and he respects. While he will not take orders from them he is always willing to have their advice.
♖ White Rook - Those pretty close to the same level as him and he enjoys being around.
♗ White Bishop - Potential vessels for the archangel, these are people of importance to him. He doesn't necessarily respect them but would protect them.
♘ White Knight - People with interesting power who could be used to his advantage and he can actually stand to be around them.
♙ White Pawn - Interesting people Michael likes to talk to/or troll and might protect if he likes them enough.

♚ Black King - It's likely that no one will ever achieve this, simply because he has yet to meet someone he doesn't like that could topple the "game" if defeated.
♛ Black Queen - Those who would stand against him and have more power than the archangels.
♜ Black Rook - Beings with power equal to Michael's who he would stand against if the need arose.
♝ Black Bishop - Potential vessels for Lucifer, while these aren't as important to him as his own he will protect them.
♞ Black Knight - Those with lesser power he doesn't particularly care for.
♟ Black Pawn - The lowest of the low, Michael might smite them just for the hell of it.

Lucifer wasn't just God's favorite, he was also Michael's and still is. In fact, Michael practically raised his younger brother and was the closest to him before everything went wrong. They both know what they'll have to do when they get home but it seems as if they're attempting to make the best of their time here. At first things were very rocky between the two of them but they seem to be settling into something a little more comfortable. After everything their relationship is pretty bittersweet but they both seem to be struggling through the betrayals to have something close to normal. The two of them are even sharing an apartment for the next few months so let's all hope that they don't start fighting - for the sake of the entire island.

Lucifer ♜♖ younger brother, archangel

The runaway son. That's what Gabriel's almost always been to Michael and because of it they will never see eye-to-eye on a lot of subjects. They've already disagreed on several things since Michael's arrival - the main one being Gabriel's nephilim child that was attempting to grow. Even though he knew it would never work out Michael still offered his support to his brother if he should need it. So far they haven't talked about the loss of the child.

Gabriel ♖ younger brother, archangel

They weren't close back home before Anna abandoned heaven for humanity. She was one of the many warriors who would be closer to his chain of command but in the end Michael was the one who killed her when she completely turned on all of them. Seeing her here and alive was a surprise and they haven't really talked much and they might not ever get along.

Anna ♙ younger sister, human

Ever since Michael sent the angels into hell to retrieve Dean Winchester this particular one has been drawn further and further off the path. At one point they even pulled Castiel back to heaven for "rehabilitation" but it didn't stick. Now Castiel has gone completely off of the rails and not only does Michael not approve but he's also starting to have doubts about why their Father would bring this single angel back.

Balthazar ♘ younger brother, angel

Sometimes this guy is more trouble than he's worth. At first Chuck was all about trying to stand up to the archangels and Michael respected it enough to listen. Then suddenly the prophet started to ask questions - questions Michael had no answers to and it has helped deepen the doubt in his mind. He hasn't confessed any of these doubts to anyone except God Himself (who also happens to be Chuck secretly) and he may never admit them. But even here Michael will do his job and protect the prophet from harm.

On the flip side of the coin that is Chuck is Michael's deadbeat, absent, unrevealed Father. God is the one person Michael respects, follows obediently and tries so hard to make proud but it never seemed to be enough for his Father. Since the Beginning he's followed God's word to the extreme and while he felt abandoned when Dad skipped out and went into hiding Michael still continued on with his duties. Lately that blind loyalty is being stripped away with doubt and there's no one he can turn to except to a Father he doesn't think is here or listening. Man won't Michael be surprised if he ever finds out that Chuck is God?

Chuck Shurley ♙♔ prophet, secretly God/Father

Dean is Michael's true vessel that he plans to fight Lucifer for the world in. While he could use any of the Winchesters he would prefer Dean as the relationship between the two Winchester boys is similar to the one Michael shares with his own brother. Yet Dean isn't yet anywhere near the timeline of the apocalypse so Michael has no intention of using him unless the situation becomes absolutely dire.

Dean Winchester ♗ vessel, human, hunter

Dean's younger brother and the true vessel for Lucifer. For the most part Michael could care less about what happens to Sam just so long as Sam doesn't die. If asked by certain people Michael may help the younger Winchester out.

Sam Winchester ♝ vessel, human, hunter

The two of them will never get along even if the world was burning and Lucifer was the one holding the match. While Crowley had once been a human before becoming a demon it doesn't meant the archangel doesn't despise the vermin who tried to help the Winchesters kill off his little brother. They can talk pleasantly enough but all Michael really wants to do is smite the guy to death. It would probably be better if they never crossed paths for very long.

The mother of two vessels and the wife of the vessel Michael is currently wearing. Things couldn't have started off on the wrong foot for the two of them and it's possible that nothing will ever be all right but he is looking out for the woman when she's in trouble. In fact, Michael will start secretly make large deposits of his paycheck into her bank account to ensure the woman doesn't struggle in this modern world.

Mary Winchester ♙ human, ex-hunter
