On all my defecting LJ friends
So, I totally get that you all love Dreamwidth and stuff. And I'm happy that you crosspost to LJ so I still get to read about your lives.
But this whole thing where if I want to comment, then I need to go over to Dreamwidth and convince it to let me log in (and to log in under my LJ name and not my Facebook one)? It's annoying. And time consuming. And especially so because I have to do it EVERY time.
Like, I understand that you don't like LJ's "tweet and FB your comments" policy, but I promise not to check the box! Maybe if all your LJ posts were friends-only and you trusted us not to check the box?
This sticks out for me, because I haven't made three comments today. The most recent one I can remember is: Hey, darthfox. Your hair looks super-healthy in those photos, and I bet it's fun and swingy now that it's short.
You can see how such a comment, while complimentary and friendship-keeping (over long distances), is not worth the effort of commenting over on Dreamwidth.
I don't expect any of you will change your behavior. There are very, very good reasons for going "comment on DW only". All the same, it makes me cranky.
