So, this novella that I managed to write in 1.5 weeks with the help of my gorgeous sex-scene writer? Is finished. Some of you have read it and made sweeping comments. Some of you have laughed at the switches between American, UK, and Aussie grammar (all fixed).
But the point is: It's finished. So finished that I sent it to the editorial staff of the open-call anthology just now. A whole day before the submission deadline.
They claim 3 week turn-around, so we'll see soon enough whether the publishing house thinks my stress was worthwhile.
foulds: It ended up not being funny, which is suprising for "The Menaechmus Twins in space with shapeshifting cats". This can possibly be attributed to seriously dark world-building.
