I'm back at York for reading week, mainly because I have a tonne of work to do. I hope I can go home again, but we'll see how much I get done. But in the meantime, work shall be my boyfriend.

Here is my
final name plate:
Of course, this is digitized. However, the paper is coral-coloured and pearly. I can't show that to you through the limits of the monitor, so use your imagination. It's certainly a change from the other nameplate, but I feel this suits my personality more. I really hope that I don't screw up using the letterpress tomorrow since the paper - 30 8.5x11" sheets in all - cost $27.32. And that's with a 10% student discount. I need to make 15 identical name plates in the end, so I can afford to screw up half of these...
Now - why the Lewis Carroll quote? Hell, the man has a wild and vast imagination. Mind you, I enjoy both Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. We're both eccentrics. I didn't want to use text like "from the library of" or "this book belongs to" since those phrases have been used over and over. So there you go.
More work to do. Then watch Singin' in the Rain with
Lacey later tonight. Bye.
