I'm tired, my nerves on the edge. Silvio doesn't feel much better. His week was nearly as hard as mine. So we hang around, cuddling and hugging each other, to give comfort and try to hide that we feel so weak inside.

The whole trouble started in New Orleans. The plan was to check out at the hotel at about 10 am. Then I wanted to see the "Audubon Aquarium of the Americas", something like a small "Seaworld" and have lunch until 2pm, when I wanted to take a cab to the airport. But my plans were crossed out, when the lady at the counter told me that my credit card was completely maxed out and I should show her another credit card. Errrrr. I don't have a second card!
I called my bank in Germany, but of course, noone answered. In Germany, it was Friday, 8pm and above all national holiday. I called the 24-hour-hotline to learn that the number had changed. I called the new number and found out that it was open 24 hours except for national holidays. I called the Austrian consulate in New Orleans, but noone answered. Same thing with the German consulate. And every phone call from the hotel raised my hotel bill by another 30 Dollar. Finally I reached my mum and she rescued me by sending a scan of my dad's credit card to my email-address. Thank god, this was the USA and there was the possibility of getting access to wireless lan nearly everywhere...

The whole procedure lasted for about 4 hours and I headed for a taxi who brought me to the airport without any jams. I didn't have enough money in a reachable pocket to give him a tip and he was kinda angry, but I hadn't planned to go by taxi. There were much cheaper shuttle busses, but I didn't have time for one of them any more.

It seems to quite normal for planes to be late in the states. At least all of my american flights were at least 2 hours late - and so were all connecting flights of my co-passengers. So - of course - the flight was delayed. This gave me some more time and I easily reached my plane to Charlotte.

The next flight was announced as "on time". And maybe half an hour delay can be called "on time"compared to all the other delays...
So we took off for Frankfurt. But after 2 hours of flight, just when we reached the Atlantic, the plane turned and the captain announced that we had to go back to Philadelphia, because the navigational system had collapsed. Thank you very much.
"It will take us about an hour to fly to Philadelphia and there's a new plane waiting for you."

It actually took us about 2 hours to Philadelphia and 3 hours of circling above the town to burn excess fuel which made us too heavy to land.

In Philadelphia, they changed the defective module within 15 minutes and then the quarrelling started. We were at an inland-terminal and they didn't want to let us out of the plane because we had already left the US and our visa weren't valid any more. After another long and tired hour, we were finally allowed to deplane, after they had sealed the terminal so that noone of us could leave.

We spent some time at the terminal. I think we were allowed to leave the plane at 4am local time. Then, the plane was cleaned and then we waited. Again. For another crew. Which needed another hour to arrive. We began to re-board at about 6:15 am. And of course, we left "on time" ;-)

Arrived in Frankfurt at 8pm MET, and in Bingen at 10pm, where Silvio fetched me from the train.

Sunday was spent sleeping.
Monday too.

On Monday evening we decided to go swimming to this indoor adventure thing and I spent a lot of time climbing on all sorts of funny climbing things. Until the end, when I decided that I would definitely fit through the hole between to iron bars and jumped.
Yes, I'm still so stupid. I'll never grow adult.
Hit my voicebox so that I couldn't talk the whole next day and my arm, so that I have a 20cm long bruise there now.

Tuesday was normal back to work.

And on Wednesday I went to the dentist's. The rest of the day was spent in confusion and nervousness. And I couldn't sleep well the next night.

And that was the reason why I was so terribly tired on Thursday. And then I twisted my ankle in the training. And I feel that it's definitely enough. Today I called in sick and I hope, the next few days will be a bit less stressy.
