I gained socialization experience at least 2 times this week. Woot!
Well I'm still lamenting the lost of the internship. It was nice having something that showed I was actually doing degree related work. It's still got me quite down but thankfully I've had stuff to keep my mind occupied.
Didn't get to go to the pirate gathering after all. Which was a shame... I was looking forward to wearing the costume. Guess I could use that for Halloween now. But Leo did go out for some drinks on Mill Ave with me to let me rant & rave about life in general. As he said this was our "F the world!" night. It was a lot of fun & left my head really fuzzy. Valerie invited me out for a friends lunch thing at Ra sushi on Sunday. I had a terriyaki bento box lunch & it was very good! Had a lot of fun getting to know Kevin & Gillian better. Went out again Monday night for sweet, sweet Dansu! It was great. I could've kept going but people wanted to go eat. Went to Red Robin for the first time ever & they really do have good burgers!
Today I realized if I'm gonna keep doing this hanging out stuff that ends in food purchases... I'm gonna have to start budgeting for that now. I suppose it wouldn't hurt to calm down on the whole "pay of the credit card" thing and leave a little each month to live on. What am I saying! of course it will hurt! I'll just keep ordering waters.. that's it. That'll be my budgeting. hehe.
Oh.. on the 27th, I will have lived here for 3 years. Hard to believe it has only been 3. I've gone through enough stress & sudden life changes to have at least been more years then 3. Haven't really got anything planned to celebrate... doesn't really seem celebrate-able. But there is some kind of unofficial work party going on at Dave & Busters (similar to a Gameworks/peter piper pizza I've been told) at Tempe Marketplace on Friday. I don't want to go alone... anyone want to go with me? I'm only curious in that if it has an arcade it might have DDR. Which would be cool.
In randomness for today... I watched season 4 of Samurai Jack which lead me to thinking about cosplaying as Samurai Jack. I'd be a really effeminate Samurai Jack but I can't recall too many female characters I'd want to play in that show. Which lead to the realization that Tatton with his red hair & towering abilities would be perfect for playing the Scotsman. Which really, really quite amused me. Since I'm getting back into Sims a little bit... perhaps I will make a cosplay house of this. mwhahahaha!
