Wait for me Rats! I'm coming too!

Well... today started off nicely at least. It may or may not end nicely though.

At work, our team had its first ever pot luck & although my cookies (that I actually did make myself!) weren't exactly flying off the dish, people did eat them & enjoy them. There's just so many better cooks in the world then me. Which is fine! I'd hate to be good at something I don't like to do when there are so many things I do like to do & quite suck a lot at. But the pot luck went very well and the food was quite delicious. So I left work quite happy & looking forward to going into my internship today.

The bad traffic should have tipped me off. It was obviously an omen. That & the paper cut I got today. I hadn't got a paper cut in months... but today I sliced open my finger right under the nail. *sigh* Twas an omen. I can say that now because its hindsight & I can say whatever I want.

After today, the internship will bog down my time no longer. In some pretty stupid moves on some parts of the powers behind the animation studio some of the intern staff had to be cut. Because someone now has to get a 2nd job to feed his family & can't allow people to work without constant supervision. Its disappointing but I already figured out this ship was destined to sink. Just didn't expect it to happen before October had passed. Cest 'la vie.

But at least that leaves me lots of time to get ready for the pirate romp on mill ave! That's suppose to start 7:00 to 7:30ish. I forget what was actually said but I know the romping starts at 7:30. At least I know I didn't burn my finger for nothing now. I still get to wear the incredibly-awesome-for-being-forged-from-old-clothes-in-the-back-of-the-closet pirate garb! I like sewing things but I also get a thrill from scavenging things together too. Makes me feel hella-resourceful. I think after I post thing I'll set out on forming a tin-foil cardboard sword. yargh!

Ignoring various phalange injuries at least I still have my health & unique humor.
and a state fair sounds like a capital idea!
