It's All in the Frontal Lobe
This week is going to be the death of me. I don't recommend missing a week or more of school to anyone. Even in community college, it kicks your ass. I have so much to do. I even got an angry email from one of my online professors about a missing test I didn't know I'd missed. Apparently he didn't get the memo that I was out because once I emailed him back he offered to meet with me so we could work on getting me back to an acceptable level.
Ironically, I recieved a letter yesterday asking me to join Phi Theta Kappa, the Honor Society of Two Year Colleges. It's funny, not only because I was practically the only person I knew who didn't get into the honor society in highschool, but also because I'm about 3 weeks behind on everything right now and am simply relying on the kindess of my professors to get me through this semester without failing everything.
But hey! This morning I opened a savings account and put in a couple hundred dollars. I have enough for a one way plane ticket and if I wasn't working so hard to get everything back together in school I'd be tempted to just take off. You've got to be a little happy when it appears that something you really want (and have been talking about for 3 years) might actually be possible to obtain. I was also pre-approved for a credit card with a 6000 dollar limit. I got it, because I like to live dangerously.
I'm really excited that I found this SkiFree website. I hate skiing but I love playing this game and getting mauled by bears and trees.
