I've been pretty sick these last couple of days. Every time my dayquil wears off I feel like I have a floating head of goo. Last night I took some Nyquil and basically passed out. So much so that I didn't hear my alarm go off this morning and ended up being, once again, dangerously close to being late for work.
Which reminds me, I've been named "Employee of the Month". Granted it's only through the temp agency, but still. I rule. I get a 25 dollar gift card to be used at Mobile stations. I wonder if it's good for the stuff inside and not just the gas. My mom pays for my gas (because I'm a spoiled brat) so I don't really need gas money.... or I could stop being a selfish ass and use it as gas money and give my mom a break. Yes, that's what I'll do.
I bid on - and won - that print I linked to in my last post. It practically cost me my left arm. I was a tiny bit remorseful for maybe two seconds before I was overwhelmed with excitement because it'ssopretty. I'm definitely adding a gift certificate for framing to my Christmas list.
Speaking of Christmas.... I've been invited to the annual shopping trip my mom and aunts go on every year where they spend loads of money and drink more than their share of wine. This, my friends, officially means they consider me "one of them". I'm kind of excited. Getting drunk and maxing out my credit card sounds like a good time to me, even if it is with family.

So, the running time for the new
Pride and Prejudice is only 127 minutes. This worries me almost as much as the fact that Colin Firth is nowhere to be seen in the billings. Will I be able to handle a Mr.Darcy played by someone other than him? Doubtful. I trust Keira Knightly and her weird mouth, but someone else doing Darcy just seems strange. And in only two hours? How is that even possible?
I didn't realize until just now that
Jena Malone (from Donnie Darko and Saved!) plays Lydia Bennet. Will she be better than
Saffy? Probably not, but that's not really a fair fight.

Seriously though, I can't breathe.
