We've mentioned my tendency to obsess over things, yes? Probably in nearly all of my LJ entires?
Remember when I watched Under the Red Hood and I was geeking out about it and I got really into Batman and started watching Young Justice and buying comic books online and spending all of my money on freaking Batman? Maybe you don't remember all that, because some of it only happened a few weeks ago.
But yeah. I've become obsessed with Batman. The franchise, not just the symbol/man. Right now my laptop background is Robin (Dick Grayson), I'm reading Dark Victory (even though Tim Sale drew it ew Tim Sale), I've gotten way too into Nightwing comics, and, oh, I'm going to Comic Con dressed as the Joker.
Because the Joker has this way of getting into your head and not fucking leaving, ever. I rue the day I bought The Killing Joke. Okay not really because it is beautiful and terrible and ugly and amazing.
And I wrote my exit-level standardized test essay (TAKS) about how I'm totally Batman.
And I read Hush a few weeks ago and it is so amazing and I need people to share this with, jfc. Also, Jim Lee is lovely.
And the Blockbuster next to my apartment is closing and I went there today and bought Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, and Under the Red Hood. Cheaply, too. Alright.
And in real-life news, I met this boy who was born in Russia, lived in Singapore and the UK, speaks Russian, English, Spanish, and LATIN, and who I am seriously considering wearing make up for, he is wonderful and I need to get in his pants.
