This is a post dedicated to random memories and people from my early childhood.
Please share yours with me.
First, we have Matt. Matt was a classmate of mind around 1st or 2nd grade, I think.
He would often freak out during class because my teacher was a bitch.
She would sass him; he would sass back, etc. Then the kid would just explode.
I think we were friends because we both played "Sonic the Hedgehog", or something.
Jay was obsessed with planes, tanks, and other war type stuff. He had a freaking encyclopedic memory of plane model numbers and the like. He always ate a twinky after lunch.
Jay also played the computer game "Wolfenstein 3D", which in case you didn't know, involves killing lots of Nazis.
Oddly, though, Jay never let me play. He said I would be really bad so it just made more sense to let him play.
Nevermind the fact that he died a lot, and loading a new game was on some level slightly below inconvenience.
Jessica. Oh, Jessica, you sly fox.
Jessica was my girlfriend way back in the drama filled years of first grade.
One time I was over at her house watching some crappy movie translation of "The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe",
when we decided to finally kiss. I was okay with doing it right there (parents weren't in the room), but she wanted to go her parents bedroom for privacy. For some reason that freaked me out so it never happened...
Some time later I invited her over to play. She eventually got bored and went to go ride bikes with my neighbor, whom she had just met that day, leaving me all alone. I don't think I ever talked to her again...
William was just a cool fucking guy. He had an uncanny ability to make a game / entertain himself with fucking anything.
Seriously. A ball of string. A piece of cardboard. You name it. He was just so cool...I wonder what ever happened to him...
