Thief!
I went shopping in Preston today with my friend Stephanie. We went into HMV and Steph went off to look at the singles whilst I hunted for a DVD of The Mighty Boosh. I spotted them on a display near the door and was just about to step forward to get one when a guy suddenly grabs about 5 copies of Pirates of the Caribbean 2 off the shelf. Just as I was thinking "what the hell does he want all those for?" he grabbed 4 copies of another DVD and strode swifty out the door. The alarm sounded but no one did anything about it. He probably got away with over £100 worth of DVDs! I stood there looking after him with what must have been an expression of half disgust and half shock. I couldn't believe that not only had he done it but also that no one had made any attempt to stop him or go after him! It was very weird and strangely surreal, I felt afterwards like maybe it hadn't happened and that I'd just imagined it because the people around me didn't react at all.
