Labor Day Weekend has officially started.  Got out of work at 3PM.  Have been home watching tv since.  Last couple of Merlin season 2 eps I had DVRd are watched.  Last ep of The Closer watched.  Latest ep of Warehouse 13 is on now.  Tonight is vegging on tv and comp. T is supposed to be on her way up.  Missy and her kids are gone for the weekend.

So yeah...beyond a shadow of a doubt this was my best birthday ever.   And that's saying something, 'cause I've had some pretty damn good birthdays.      What made it so great?  ( Click here for the long story. )

I survived Saturday's sleepover, mostly.  The earlier part of the day wasn't so great, but hanging with the kids was actually a lot of fun.  Sunday's wake up call at 6AM to come home due to a family emergency, not fun at all.   Don't want to go into too much detail about the emergency just now, but end result is my niece-in-law, Q has been admitted ( Read more... )

Yup..I'm off to the beach.  For 10 DAYS!!!!!!!   Gawd, I can't wait to see the ocean.   Taking borrowed lappy so hopefully I'll be able to actually find the inspiration to write a post or two in the beautiful sunsets, lighthouse, beaches, and possible sailing excursion ( Read more... )

My niece-in-law’s baby shower was  Sunday and, you know, I think this baby shower was more exhausting than the last one and I didn’t have a hand in throwing this one.    My step-sister took on that task and mom and I happily let her.  Mom helped out by cleaning the sis’ house earlier in the week and going over to set up. Not much news yet, beyond the newest little princess has made her way into the world and mommy and baby are both doing just fine. I'll post more deets when I have them!

I can joke now that he's home and mostly healthy again.  He's home!  And by all accounts doing pretty good.  They never did figure out what's caused the bleeding but his body did what the body is meant to do and fixed itself and he's gonna be just fine.  Long as it don't  happen again.
