I've seen the advertisements for this show for a few weeks now, and not being much of a reality show junkie, nor a huge fan of kids, I had no intention of watching it, but it ended up on my television by accident, and just as I was about to turn it, I got caught by the level of maturity of these kids as one of the older ones (maybe 12) came over to comfort and encourage a young one (8) who was missing home.
Well, I didn't turn the channel, and now I think I might be hooked. The kids are very impressive. They're kids, but they're not the annoying whiney things we see in the movies. They're encouraging each other, and working with each other, and even those on the opposite teams are treating each other with respect. I'm curious to see if it lasts, but even if it doesn't, these kids are more mature than the adults on similar shows. Well done.
(PS - the premise of the show is quite interesting too.. these kids building a wild west town.)
