Bonn? As in... Germany!?

No doubt that you are now wondering what the hell this could be about. And when I do start talking about Germany, why Bonn and not some other city like Berlin or Munich (sp?). I got a pretty good reason to bring up the subject of Bonn, and I am going to tell you why!

Basically, me and the rest of the same year of highschool who have German and History, are going to get shoved in a bus this coming thursday the 14th, at 6:15am and we will make a 4 hour trip all the way to Bonn. Now why the hell are you taking a schooltrip to Bonn?
Very good question! One I think I know the answer to, but no doubt I will screw up the explanation somewhere.
So we are going to Bonn not for a whole week (like last schooltrip where I went to Berlin for 5 days). Oh no, we are going all the way over there for one, miserable day. And while we are there, we are going to visit a museum of some sort and make an assignment along with your 'buddy', considering further research on a certain time during the Cold War.
That was the History part. Now comes the German part.
For German, in the upcoming classes we have before we will head off on a Thursday, we will have to think up some questions and we will need to ask them to the people we just see on the streets in Bonn. In other words, interview the people there. That is something no one is really looking forward to. Especially not me. I always get the feeling I will screw up somewhere and an actual German will laugh me in the face because of my nooby German skills. But oh well, nothing you can do about it.

That is basically a pretty good explanation I think of what we will be doing, and that going there is not something you do voluntarily. You actually have to go, which ticked me off a bit in the beginning. But there's nothing you can change about it, so why be mad at it constantly?
But yeah, we will have to leave at 6:15am, and they are expecting us back home at 10:00pm. But knowing our school and the possible traffic, that might end up a bit later. I will head out in the dark, and I will come back in the dark. Oh the joys of school!
In the four hour trip to Bonn and back four hour trip back home, I think me and my friend will just most likely be listening to music and trying to catch up on some welldeserved sleep. That sounds like a pretty good idea to me if I'm very honest.

But yeah, that will be a small update on where I will be entire Thursday. Just in case some people start missing me, don't worry I'm safe. Just across the border in Germany xD.

Rock on!
