I called back the HR lady from the law firm and set up an interview for tomorrow at 3 pm. A friend of mine, Elizabeth, already works in the marketing department there and she was the one who told me about the position. Is it ironic or just good timing that I received a call today from a law firm that I had applied to?? More to come.

Earning tips is like earning commission. All this time I've been doubting myself and my sales abilities (or loathing it, rather), but I've been waitressing for over a year now. Isn't that sales? I earn a base pay, and the majority of my money comes from tips. Doesn't this sound like..."Base+Commission"? Maybe I've been looking at things all wrong
