Welcome To Rapture

Shooo, but Bioshock is scary. Particularly when you're playing it with a ghetto graphics fix that let's it run on 2.0 shaders but ups the number of extremely dark corners considerably.  It looks good. Damn good.  So good in fact, that I have to keep dragging myself away from looking at the architecture and enjoying the view because INSANE PEOPLE IN MASKS ARE TRYING TO KILL ME.  The game is advertised as being filled with choices and strategy about how to make it through the levels, about how you can lure splicers into water and electrocute them, light oil slicks on fire, etc. And that's great ...except that this game has me so highly strung I can't do much that involves aiming and have mostly just been smacking the ever-loving shit out of anything that moves with my giant wrench.

The atmosphere, audio, and ambient music is too perfect and the voice work is out of control. Standing around listening to the Splicers has, thus far, been scarier then when they're actually attacking.

Why everyone in Rapture is so angry.
