I'm not really in the mood to update, but why not. I'm finally unpacking today while I listen to a recording of the G-Men concert and a playlist I made of songs that remind me of freshman year... and, of course, I'm missing college. For one thing, my family's bickering like crazy. And well, for another, today is Chris's and my four-month anniversary, which wouldn't be such a big deal except that I'm not going to see him again until just before our eight-month anniversary. I spent the first few days away from the dorm at his house, then flew down here for a night before he joined me for the past week. Needless to say, it was great to spend time together without stressing about school or work. We hiked Stone Mountain and along the Chattahoochee, visited a deserted beach on Lake Lanier, wandered Fernbank, and saw a 3D IMax at the Mall of GA. We also saw "Bugsy Malone," went to the Habitat for Humanity night at WaHo to see Brian, Gabe, and Johnny, invented our own versions of the games Outburst and Guess Who, and spent our evenings on the back porch or in the hot tub, enjoying the warm weather. Needless to say, dropping him off at the airport yesterday afternoon was really tough. I can't wait for September.
California Pizza Kitchen hired me as a hostess. No one wanted to spend the money to train me as a summer server (boo), so it was the next best thing. It looks like it'll be a good job, and the manager told me I'll be working full-time since the other host just put in his two-weeks' notice. I guess I don't know much more than that at this point, but at least it'll distract me for now and help me pay for next year.
And I'm spent.
