Did anyone else see the video of Danny DeVito on "The View" yesterday morning? He was *completely* hammered. It is very funny to watch.
So remember how I said my manager left? Well, since they haven't replaced him yet, that basically leaves me and my coworker with the department Director as our report-to. She is relatively new (newer than me, for sure) - She's only been here for 2-3 months maybe? Anyhow she is extremely difficult to work with (always on the offensive, boarderline insulting, full of herself, never reads her email, etc), and she has been making working hours very stressful and unpleasant for me and my coworker. My coworker has already mentioned several times that she is thinking about leaving. I admit that I have thought about it too.
But another part of me tells me that I should take this as a challenge. I mean, up until now, I have been blessed with extremely supportive and wonderful "bosses." I can't really expect everybody I work for to be like that - that would be unreasonable and nearly impossible. So should I really just suck it up and make a "project" of getting on this woman's good side (if she has one) - or, of proving myself to her?
Maybe I should at least *find* my resume and update it...
I have an Investment Accounting Training class today from 1-4:45, then happy hour at NJPAC until 7. Yay... free diet coke.
