It's been a pretty decent weekend here. Yesterday I got up and chopped most of my hair off - it's just been getting shorter and shorter this summer. I just gravitate between wanting it really long and wanting it really short - but one of those options requires years of patience and annoyance, and the other requires an afternoon and some scissors. The result:
It's a little faux-hawkey now, but I'm generally digging it. I also got my lip pierced about a month ago, which you can kind of see in the picture. I need to go in and get the bar shortened soon.
Then I headed out to the Edina area. Stopped at Patrick's Bakery, Jamba, and Anthropologie. I finally ordered some bedding from them that I've been eying for some time - hopefully my last big purchase for a little while. It's this bedding, only I got it in ivory instead of purple:
I was planning an epic bike ride for today, but it is waaay too muggy out for that. I've just been sitting around, playing Banjo-Kazooie and trying to catch the caterpillars in the act of changing. One guy was getting ready to go and hanging upside down. I walked away for about 20 minutes and he had changed by the time I got back. Sneaky little bugger.
We had three more hatch out this morning.
This guy is getting ready to go. He's the one I'm watching closely now.
Two of them still fattening up.
And a dead swallowtail I found while out biking the other day.
