(no subject)
I think my mother has officially gone overboard. We have 22 monarch chrysalis (chrysili??) in our critter cage right now, plus 9 other catepillars still getting ready. When my mom changes the milkweed out at night the branches are completely stripped bare. Maybe pictures tomorrow.
It was a bit of a long week - I dogsat at my aunt's for the week down in the cities. It was a much shorter drive to work in the morning, but I didn't sleep well. The house was way too hot to sleep in without the AC units and fans on, and way too loud to sleep with them. Plus they had a sleep number bed, which I found to be rather crappy.
Work was fine though. A bit quiet, but I finished up three manuscripts and felt rather accomplished. Still absolutely adoring what I do each and every day. :D
Being on my own in someone else's house for the week did really make me want to be out on my own though. I'm slowly saving up, but my weakness for pretty dresses is probably hindering my apartment fundage. I should probably curtail the spending for awhile, but this is like...the one time in my life that I actually have a good salary and simultaneously have very few bills and responsibilities. It's hard not to milk that, but I know I would probably appreciate independence even more.
Anyways, I think it's time to go catch up on lost sleep.
