Dirty Rotten Scandals (Season 6 Episode 3)

Domestic Serena.  Huh.  Doesn't get much stranger than that.  And semi-step-mom Serena.  That's just... wrong.

"Please leave Nate out of this."
Wow, how awkward is this?  Nate and Serena used to date.  Now Serena's dating the father, and Nate is dating the daughter.  The relationships in this show. Somehow ( Read more... )

I don't like how they are making Blair into this needy, clingy girl who needs Chuck 24/7. What happen to your self-esteem woman! I don't know why she couldn't listen to the advice she gave to Jenny, "That's the thing. You need to be cool to be queen. Anne Boleyn thought only with her heart and she got her head chopped off. So her daughter Elizabeth made a vow never to marry a man. She married a country. Forget boys. Keep your eye on the prize, Jenny Humphrey ( ... )

I completely agree. They've completely destroyed Blair's character. She isn't strong, self-sufficient, or any of things Dan told her she was last season. She's more like a puppy trailing after Chuck like a shadow. For all the years she fought to get out from behind Serena and Eleanor's shadow, she's now willingly subjecting herself to a lifetime of being overlooked? It just doesn't make sense. That quote you mentioned is perfect. Blair seems to be doing the exact opposite. I suppose she is keeping her eye on the prize. It just so happens that the prize is Chuck Bass. I'm not sure if he's a prize worth fighting for, especially if Blair has to give up her identity in winning ( ... )

Yea I notice a lot of people didn't like Dan, especially in the beginning because they felt like he was being an "Insider". *Dating Serena then hanging out with Nate* You do have a point I would be pissed too if I were in Dan's shoes. When it came to Blair leaving him for Chuck, 'I've been there for you no matter what and you still want to be with a guy who sold you for a hotel ( ... )

For me, that actually wasn't the reason. I read the books before watching the TV show, so I had a hard time reconciling the two. Dan wasn't as likable in the books (in my opinion), so I came in not liking him.

Nate doesn't deserve to be lumped in with the rest of the UES. I think the best example is when we found out he'd never sent a /single/ tip in to Gossip Girl. (As I've mentioned.) To be able to have done that in their world? That's huge. Nate doesn't betray his friends. That message came through loud and clear. Dan not believing in Nate made me lose some respect for him.
