the internet doesn’t have correct typography by default, at least when you type in livejournal that is.

for example: "I love popcorn" <---the quotation marks are your regular layman's quotation marks, ugly as sin.

should be: “I love popcorn”

or what I hate seeing most, ugly apostrophes.

I'm tired. <---ugly apostrophes

I’m tired. <---much better

I seriously am tired, and I seriously do love popcorn.
