National Day of Student Protest
Yesterday was a good day for a student protest. It was a balmy -11 with a windchill of -12, the sun was shining, and the snow crisp.
IT WAS SO FUN! I picketed and harrassed ppl and marched thru donwtown with hundreds of other students all the while stopping traffic and we even stopped the BIG RED OC TRANSPO BUSES!And I also got to meet koneko_desu which was great! I screamed myself horse, not something I get to do all that often, ^_^ I even took my picket sign home with me.
I admit while listening to the speeches my toes and finger tips got numb, but it was worth it to hear Jack Layton, leader of the NDP. Notice that leader of the Liberals, Mr. Stephane Dion was not there and obviously the leader of the Conservatives PM Steven Harper was not there. Oh they were inside the Parlement but it was JACK LAYTON who came to US!
AND ppl wonder why students don't vote for liberals or conservatives. I took SO MANY PICS! It's so hard to take pics with your gloves on though, haha! I've uploaded a few,

You know what was one of the best things tho? As we were marching on ppl came out of their buildings and clapped and cheered us on. That and the honking of various vehicles made me VERY HAPPY.
