I just got off work...and today I learned something...happy? This horrible coworker of mine...um, I can't remember if I ranted about her on LJ...but she quit yesterday! She had to have been one of the worst workers I've ever seen or worked with. Christmas Eve sums it up...
I had to be to work at 8am on Christmas Eve for an 8 and a half hour shift. My coworker, Kelly, at 8:30am. We both were working extremely hard and dreaming of getting off finally and crashing. Around 2:30pm, this... *twitch*...coworker, Vanessa, comes in for a 4 hour shift. She works two hours and then stands around for an hour. Meanwhile, the store is closed, I'm pulling seafood, Kelly is finishing the salads, and Vanessa is standing there with her thumb up her butt. The manager is antsy to get home, so he comes back to check on our progress and asks Is anyone ready to go home? Vanessa jumps up, takes her thumb out of her butt, and dares to say I am!!! I'm all finished here, I can go home!!! Kelly turns and snapped Like Hell you are!!! If anyone goes home first, it should be me or Katherine!!! We've been here all day!!! An argument broke out, I've never seen Kelly flip out like that. I would have added my two cents, but I was too tired and didn't want to make matters worse. Needless to say, that was just one day...and she's been getting worse ever since. Good riddance, I say!
This morning, my mom and I went to the mall. The fire alarm went off. And nobody moved. Turns out it was a false alarm, but it doesn't sound good when a fire alarm goes off and very few people head for the exits. Heh.
