A/N: MASSU TAKES ON A LOVE ADVICE!!! AND HE DOESN'T TALK ABOUT MINI CARS!! And the love advice actually helps a lot for me xD And please forgive me for the not detailed explanations for this episode ;__; It's hard to translate some things especially when they refer to Japanese terms. It's so much easier to understand when you know Japanese ^_^"

MASTER HITS 05/03/13

Massu: Konban-Masuda Takahiiiiits! This is NEWS’ Masuda Takahisa. How are you all this Friday evening? From today, the second half of Golden Week will start. There are a lot of people who go out during the 4-day holidays. So today’s the peak of everyone’s departure. The popular destination in the country is Fukushima which increased to 86.06% from the previous year. The Taiga drama “Yae no Sakura” might have influenced it as well. 86.0% is a lot, ne? I see. And the Ise Grand Shrine went up by 31.1%. The Shikinen Senguu (a traditional act of worship in Shinto) falls this year in Ise Grand Shrine, so it seems to be popular among the young women. I want to try going to Ise Grand Shrine. It’s nice there, ne? I want to go there. But I’m occupied this year, so maybe next year I’ll try to go there.

Now, I would like to introduce some mails. Accharun-chan. “Massu, good evening.” Good evening! “This is sudden but which do you like more, mentaiko or tarako? (Mentaiko is the roe of cod and tarako is the roe of Pollock. I doubt there are much differences though xD) I absolutely like mentaiko! Recently, I went to a buffet of mentaiko with my friends. Have you ever been there? ”
I see. This is really sudden, ne? The question “Do you like mentaiko or tarako?” Hmmmm, well if you ask me which one’s better… I WONDER WHICH ONE~. HMMMMM… Mentaiko buffet sounds really cool, ne? But even if it’s a buffet, I don’t think you’ll be able to eat so much, ne? It would rather feel like eating so much rice, right? Yeah, I like any of it!

This is Masuda Takahisa on MASTER HITS brought to you by Bayfm. Please keep me company till 11:30pm.

This week’s NEWS!
For this week’s news: Finally today, the stage play Strange Fruits started today! *claps*I’ll be doing this until May 25 in Tokyo. So it’s about one month, ne? I’ll be doing my best from now on, so for those who can watch, please look forward to it!
And on May 22, Tegomass’ new single Neko Chuudoku will be released. That’s soon, ne? This is a song for all the cat lovers to the cat lovers to the cats. I’d be really happy if you do check it out! The two coupling songs are very good too so please look forward to it!
So now, please listen to the next song. Tegomass’ Neko Chuudoku!

(Song: Neko Chuudoku [Tegomass])

Massu’s Brain Master~!
This is Masuda Takahisa’s MASTER HITS brought to you by Bayfm. In this segment, we will be introducing different quizzes and puzzles and we’ll exercise our brain together.
Today’s Brain Master is from Kagoshima Prefecture, Ayano-chan. [He seemed to be in a rush here, I wonder why xDDD]
“Masuda-kun, good evening.” Good evening. “I always listen to your radio and enjoy it. And here’s my quiz. Question: When you try to drink a ten million yen wine, the price decreases. Why do you think did it happen?”
I won’t try to drink a ten million yen wine! *pingpong*
EH?? It’s correct? I’m surprised! *reads the question again* Ten million yen wine? What? If I try to drink it, the price decreases. Why? It broke? *beep* Hmmmm, ah.
There’s a hint. “When you drink wine, what is the first thing you do?”
The first thing you do when you drink wine? You take the cork out by pulling it?
*Massu got the correct answer here. It’s hard to explain and understand in English because it has something to do with the term ‘ten million’ in Japanese, so I won’t explain the correct answer anymore here xD But you’ll understand it if you listen to it and understand Japanese :D

“*explains the correct answer here* Do you drink wine often? The taste of wine is too adult for me and I can’t handle it.”
I see~. My answer was very normal. And it says “Do you drink wine often?” here. Wine, I like wine. I want to be someone who can open the wine [bottle] in a cool way. I also want to learn how to look cool when I drink it. Maybe cool clothes when drinking wine. [WHAT] I think that makes you look manly and cool so I want to try it.

Thank you so much, Ayano-chan! You can also become brain masters and send questions as well!

Now, please listen to the next song. Tegomass’ Komorebi Memories.

(Song: Komorebi Memories)
This is Masuda Takahisa’s MASTER HITS brought to you by Bayfm.

Now, I would like to introduce some mails. First is from Yuki-chan. “Massu, good evening!” Good evening. “I go to school by bike. I usually get a “Good morning” from the elderly a lot. I usually reply to them by saying “Hello” or “Good morning” but there are times when elderly I don’t know would say, “Welcome back.” I don’t know how to reply to them, so I just pass them by without saying anything. What should I reply to them in times like these? Please give me an advice.”
She’s 15, ne~. Of course if they say ‘hello’ or ‘good morning’, you’d reply to them hello and good morning. If you’re told ‘welcome back’… if that was me… *did some unexplainable expression (LOL) and laughs* Well, maybe you just have to reply to them, “I’m home!” (‘tadaima’), right? I think that’s okay? There are some who might answer as, “Yo!” but I guess it’s not that good for some? It seems like you’re disrespecting them, right? But I think that’s nice. It’s really nice that they greet. There are more people who don’t greet people lately. When I was younger, I use to greet everyone [OMG CHIBI MASSU THAT IS SO CUTE]. But now, I don’t initiate to talk to people I don’t know. For example like in an elevator, I would go a bit, “Yo” but I think it’s really nice to be told like, “Welcome back!” That’s very important. But I think that’s really nice. So I think it’s best to return “Welcome back” with not a “Yo” but a “I’m back!”
Next is from Shiori-chan. “This is sudden, but earlier, I had an eel rice bowl. I use to not like it but when I tried it in an expensive restaurant, I learned to like it. It was so different from what we eat at home, so I was really overwhelmed! Have you encountered anything like this?”
Coming to like the eel rice bowl after eating in an expensive restaurant, ne? I see~, but I think eels are like that. It’s different when you eat a really good one. I think even sea urchins are like that too. And roes too. The sushi types? I think they’re like that. I use to think those were really high class when I was small. I think it was included in a DVD for a making or something when there was eel for everyone in Nagoya? I think it was a live for Tegomass and there was like a really huge eel almost as big as a person that was given to us. I wonder how many people that was for. And there was lots of rice too. But since we were performing, I said “I’ll only take a bite.” So I was going to have only at least half a bowl before performing. I don’t remember much about it but I remember that it was really good. But I like the normal tofu, the cold ones that you put bonito flakes and soy sauce. But I don’t really like the tofu in nabe. I also don’t like the leek in nabe, but I normally like the leek. I also don’t like the cucumber in the cold noodles. I love cucumber but I don’t like the ones in the cold noodles. Before when I eat nabe, I use to not eat the tofu and the leek in the nabe because I really hated it. But lately, I’m starting to like it. I don’t know if it’s because I grew up. But I can eat tofu now and I can accept it even if there’s so much leek. Before, I use to get irritated, “Darn you, leeks! You rockets! (they were put like rockets HAHA)”  But lately, even the rockets are lovable now. How is this?
Next is Shiori-chan from Ooita Prefecture. “The other day, I got sick and I was confined in the hospital. And because of that, I started liking the nurse who took care of me. I want to confess to him, but if I get rejected, it will be awkward the next time I meet him. That’s why I’m in a dilemma whether I should confess to him. I’ll be going to that hospital even after my discharge. Masuda-kun, what should I do? Please give me an advice.”
I see. She likes the nurse who took care of her. I wonder if she knows his contact details… Well I don’t know if you do, but if you don’t I think it would be better to ask for his contact details first and get closer to him first, then confess to him. But if you’re still in dilemma if you’re close to him already, then maybe it’s good to hit more jabs? It’s like jabbing until you think he likes you back? But seriously since it’s the hospital you’re going to, I guess it’s okay to just go for it even if it would be awkward? This is a bit difficult, ne? But if you have contact with him, then maybe you can approach him like ask him out maybe for a meal? You don’t have to confess to him right away too. Please give me a mail on what happens~.

Next is from Runa-chan. “I am in love. I started going to the gym and I fell love at first sight with a staff. My younger brother works in the same gym and he told the guy that I was saying he was cool and he seemed happy about it but… it’s been awhile since I’ve liked anyone and I don’t know what to do. We’ve never talked and I don’t know how to ask him for his contact details. What should I do?”
So this is another mail on love. The staff of the gym she goes to. I see~. He’s probably not cool when he’s in casual. He might look only cool because he was wearing gym wear. *laughs* He might be wearing weird clothes when it’s casual. *laughs* [HAHAHAHAHAHAHA THIS IS SO MEAN =))))))))] Anyway, I would like to do it again. Runa-chan, right? I see… but she has a brother, right? You can ask a lot of things from the brother, right? It’s like, “My sister is like this, so like that…” and he can ask for the contact details. Or maybe something like, “She wants to learn more about her biceps, so can you teach her more about it?” The little brother can do that, right? Maybe you can start talking about more of like muscle training and stuff like protein? Maybe the things related to gym? Hmm… but if he’s a staff, then you can ask him to teach you how to use this machine or something. There are a lot of machines that are used for muscle training. Maybe if you ask about all of those, you’ll have so much time to spend to talk. You might even discover some things about muscle training. But it’s possible that he might not look cool anymore when he’s wearing casual. But I’d be so happy if you send me a mail again on what happens. Please do your best~!

Next is Shiori-chan from Chiba Prefecture. There are 3 consecutive Shiori-chan. Ah, Runa-chan was in between, ne? Runa-chan from the gym but it’s 3 Shiori-chan consecutively. Bingo. Shiori Bingo! From Shiori-chan. “Good evening.” Good evening. “I entered 4th year college starting spring. I study calligraphy. Instead of thesis/paper as my final project, I am required to make a calligraphy work. For this, I bought a brush. Please give it a name. The brush is like this.”
And she attached a photo here. I wonder if she was the one who wrote the one at the back. There’s a calligraphy behind. If she was the one who wrote it, then she’s really good! This is awesome! It’s almost the level of a pro. It’s like the level before you get promoted. It’s almost like the pro. So it’s the brush for this, ne? A stiff name is good maybe? Like Musashi. Hmmm, it’s like the writing brush Musashi? Hmmmm, but I think it’s not good if it spreads, so maybe Fudecchi (from ‘fude’ or brush in Japanese and ‘chi’ to make it sound cute). That’s it! Please do your best!
Next is from Tarako-chan. *laughs* This is from Tarako-chan, ne? There was a mail from Mentaiko earlier… right? No. Okay, but this mail is from Tarako-chan. “I’ve been doing an accounting work, but I wanted to take up something for vocation, so I took up foreign language while working (I think the term specifically used here was French language). There was a job opening in an accounting agency and tried it out. I passed and I started working a few days ago. When I got the job, I bought a yellow mechanical pencil for work. I think I will be able to use this pencil better if you name it, so I hope you give this a name. Thank you.”
Ohh, that’s nice. You were able to enter an accounting agency. Congratulations! So it’s a new yellow mechanical pencil. I think “Sharp” is the it, ne? Sharp. How about Masuda Sharp Takahisa? *laughs* [he was saying ‘FUFUFU’ here HAHAHA] Yes, yes.
Now that I’m in a great tension, please listen to this song. Tegomass’ Boku no Cinderella.

(Song: Boku no Cinderella [Tegomass])

This was Masuda Takahisa’s MASTER HITS brought to you by Bayfm and we are about to end the program.

On May 22, Neko Chuudoku and for the entire month of May, I’ll be in Tokyo Globe Theater for the stage play Strange Fruits and I’ll be in Osaka after that. It’ll be for a month, so please support!

I am accepting different kinds of mail for the program: Questions for me, love advice, Brain Master, where is the mass damper? and many more! Yes, mass damper. It could be in the front, or in the rear. I put it somewhere in the front middle. I thought it’ll be good in the part where it falls, so I put it in the heavy part. I also have one at the back that’s black. There’s also a new one. It’s a bit intriguing where to put them, ne? Maybe I can put it and hang it around my neck as a necklace and wear it in music programs. Everyone will be like, “Ah, it’s a mass damper.”  It’s like my balance might be better than the usual. I usually wear gold necklaces but I’ll be wearing Mass damper instead.
I haven’t been talking about mini 4WD, ne? Even last week, I haven’t been talking about it. Even this week, I haven’t been talking about it. So I’m quickly including this now because the fans might be complaining that I haven’t been talking about it. I’m sure there are a lot of fans who want to listen to it. Or maybe most are wanting to hear this. So I thought I should talk about it. I would like to talk about it next week, so I hope you send me message on where you put your mass damper. Maybe we can talk about mass damper. I’ll be waiting for your mails~. [I’m actually glad that he didn’t talk about it because I can’t catch up and it’s hard to translate when he talks about them HAHAHAHA]
The address is mass@bayfm.co.jp. The spelling of mass is ‘M-A-S-S.’ We are giving away an original sticker from the program every week to one sender.  I am waiting for your mails passionately for your mails. Please listen again next week. This was NEWS’ Masuda Takahisa. Byebye!
