Massu: Konban Masuda Takahiiiits! This is NEWS’ Masuda Takahisa. How are you all this Friday evening? Today is said to be the day the very first spaceship of Soviet Union Vostok 1 launched successfully. In April 12, 1961, Gagarin rode the spaceship and went one round around the Earth. 700m after reentering the atmosphere, he landed with a parachute. From the launching until landing back, it was said to take 108 minutes. I think the famous words that Gagarin said when he landed were that the Earth was blue. So it took 108 minutes to go around the entire Earth, ne? So it took Gagarin to take 108 minutes. 108 minutes, ne? And he said that the Earth was blue. I want to go to space one day. Let’s go to the planets! I want to~.
Now, I would like to introduce some mails. Macchu-chan from Taiwan. “Masuda-san, good evening!” Good evening! “Lately, I’ve been learning to cook different Japanese food. Which do you like more, nikujaga (beef and potato, I guess you consider this as stew? ) or pork nikujaga?”
Nikujaga or pork nikujaga? But you usually use beef, right? I wonder if I’ve ever tried the pork one? I think I’ve tried it…? But I guess it’s beef nikujaga. So the normal nikujaga! I like that more.

This week’s NEWS!
For this week’s news, I have something to announce! On May 22, the 7th single of Tegomass will be out! *claps* Thank you so much! It’ll only be two months from our previous single Sayonara ni Sayonara. We are releasing them in high speed! Thank you so much. This time, this is our 7th single and entitled Neko Chuudoku (Cat Addiction) [super cute song, btw *A*]. It’s a song about cats. It’s a song about a love for cats and it’s a very shocking cat pop! [cat pop, okay HAHA] It’s definitely a song you can relate to if you’re a cat lover. The cat’s… well I think it’s best if you hear it for yourselves. It’s a song of the cat lovers. It’s a song for the love of the cats, cat lovers and for the cats. We’ve been actually warming up with this song for quite some time and the staffs got to talk about when to release it, so now they decided on this. I’m very happy~! I hope we play it soon! I think we’ll be playing it here too soon. So please look forward to it!
And I have one more release announcement! We released NEWS Live Tour 2012 ~Utsukushii Koi ni Suruyo~ in DVD before but this time, it’ll be released in blu ray! *claps* A blue one! The blue one will come out! (You make it sound like Smurfs HAHAHA ;_;) It’s in blu ray so even the cinematography is nicer and even the sounds are nice too! Now, I will be introducing your mails. Narupekore-chan. “Massu, good evening~.” Good evening! “I entered high school in April! I am very excited, but I have a lot of anxiety. Please encourage me to be able to do my best in my high school life.”
I see~. If she just entered high school, she’s about 15 or 16, ne? Starting out is hard, ne? It might be hard to get along with people in class. I see. You might have a lot of fears, but try to get use to it, make new friends, and maybe join school clubs? I hope you have a good high school life, so please do your best!
Next is from Masumiki-chan. “I dropped my smart phone just recently out of my pocket and the LCD got cracked. We should be careful and keep it in our bags instead, ne? Anyway, what kind of smart phone cover do you use?”
It really breaks when you drop it, ne? It falls and the screen cracks into pieces, so I put a screen protector. I bought a case that’s really durable, even thicker than the last one I used to use. I used to use a simple one that was from one clothing line. But I thought it needed to be replaced because it was more of my fear of getting it broken. So for those of you who use smart phones, I hope you all be careful to not drop them.
Next is from Masupyon-chan. “Just recently, I went to pick strawberries. There were a lot of good ones that were so sweet and yummy~.”
That’s what the mail says. Picking strawberries, ne? That’s nice. That’s a really cute [representative], people who pick strawberries. I wonder if I’ve ever went strawberry picking before? If you go strawberry picking, how much do you usually eat? Is it like you go strawberry picking, you get full in that place? Probably you’ll keep eating, right? Can you take them home? Ahhh~… I see~, so there’s a take home version and there’s one where you can eat it on the spot. And you bring like condensed milk. Ahh, that’s nice. I want to go! Strawberries have really cute shape and the physical appearance is really cute, but the seeds around it, are you suppose to leave them? And one by one, the roots come out of those seeds? I’ve never actually seen it, but my friend showed me a video of how they grow and that’s actually how they grow. Like it’s not just a video, but it actually happens. And my friend was like, “I think I can’t eat strawberries like that!” But strawberries usually are like the no.1 most loved fruit, ne? Because it’s strawberries. I would like to eat more strawberries. I usually buy them for like souvenirs or as a treat. I like strawberries. If I get my eyes on them soon, I’ll get some.
Next is from Yoppi-chan. “Massu, good evening.” Good evening! “As I face my new lifestyle in spring, I bought a moped bike! I will be using it to work every day now. I want you to give it a name. Please do. By the way, it’s color red.”
I see. Here it comes. I have to give a name to a moped bike. Moped bike… there’s originally a name already, ne? The name of the maker. So I have to go beyond that, ne? So it’s gonna be… BKB, ne? BKB is BKB… the comedian BKB. Is that the Kawasaki bike? Okamura-san is pushing it. That BKB. (I think he was referring to the commercial of the bike? I’m not so sure, so you can look it up as well :D) Is BKB okay? You start BKB and go “brooooooooom, be careful, bike!” Please forgive me with this.
Next is from Mei-chan. “Please sing something in acapella. Thank you so much!”
This is from 16 years old, Mei-chan. Well, if this is from 16 years old Mei-chan, I guess I have to sing, ne? She didn’t write here what she wanted in particular and since NEWS’ blu ray is coming out, maybe… this one?

This song is Yamashita-kun’s new song. I got so curious about this song when it was released, so I bought the CD. It was cool. The sound and the tracks in it are all good! So it’s lately on heavy rotation so I flying get [the CD]. I thought it was very Yamashita-kun and thought it was a really nice song. So I hope you all check it out as well. We are very excited that we get to release another single as Tegomass after 2 months releasing Sayonara ni Sayonara.
