A/N: And as promised, here's another translation from me 8D This is a translation from MASTER HITS from July 16 :D Enjoy~! ^^
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Massu: Konban-Masuda-TakaHiiiits! This is NEWS’ Masuda Takahisa. How are you this Friday night evening?
It seems a lot of schools here in Japan still are not on summer vacation while Korea has been on break since June, right? To wait until August means the summer break is really long. It’s a month longer than Japan, ne? And usually, long breaks like these are commonly spent by having part time. And the most common part-time jobs are usually department stores and large supermarkets. It’s indoor and cool inside and you can seem to guarantee a good pay as well. Others also spend the vacation studying for entrance exams or going on trips or volunteering. If I were the one, I wonder what I would do~? But I think it would be things you wouldn’t usually do during summer breaks like studying. But that’s if I were a student, ne? I wonder? Maybe I would go on a vacation trip. Like Hawaii (lol, he said it as ‘Waiha’ xD So cute x3)… yeah, maybe Hawaii. Since it’s almost summer, cool it off and relax. Enjoy your summer~.
Now, I would like to start off with some messages.
Mikity-chan from Okayama Prefecture. “Good evening, Massuda-kun.” Good evening. “This is my first time sending a mail. But I have one question. Which do you like more: Mille-feuille or mille crepe?” Mille-feuille is more of crunchy, then cream, then crunchy, then cream. Then when you slice it, it goes crunchy, then cream, crunchy, then cream, right? (‘saku-saku, cream… saku-saku, cream…’ HAHA SO CUTE). And as for the mille crepe, it’s soft, soft, soft, soft. (‘shittori, shittori, shittori’ HAHAHA) So you can slice it. So in this case, it’s definitely mille crepe. I think it’s good. So there. Mille crepe.
So there, this is Masuda Takahisa on Bay FM, keeping you company ‘til 11:30pm.
THIS WEEK’S NEWS.
So this week’s news; The stage play “The Gray Cannary” (Haiiro no Kanaria) finally ended! (claps) Thank you so much! I was on it from June 4 for one month until July 9 in Osaka. I’ve learned and experienced so much from the play. The cast were really friendly and they were all individual actors so I think they influenced me. I’m glad I got to work with them. And I’ve mentioned this before but I challenged in playing the guitar. My role Fujii-kun plays the guitar in the last part and I’ve said before that I would bring the guitar to MASTER HITS, but I wasn’t able to bring it today. So maybe I’ll bring it next week… or maybe the week after that… or it would be funny if it was a year later. So it would be like, “Only now??” on the end of the year when everyone has forgotten about it? And I’ll be like, “Oh, yeah. I brought the guitar.” And I’ll just start while playing. I’ll play and sing on the spot. That’s what I plan to do. And maybe then, it would be nice if we also talk about the play too. Well, now the play successfully ended and thank you so much for all your support.
Now moving on, all the staffs of MASTER HITS. started mini cars. Everyone started, ne? Well, it all started here on MASTER HITS. We started talking about it and everyone was doing it. That time, they were talking about machines and we were all like, let’s start talking about mini cars and the eldest staff here said that he doesn’t really do those. So I gave one to him as a present hoping he would start getting interested on it. Right now, I just gave it to him. So there are still parts to assemble and you can’t really do anything. Maybe it had no motor? So it’s normal-normal. So now everyone will be into it. And I’ll be doing guitar, but maybe I’d bring a course here and maybe while doing race and it’ll be a long radio. “Masuda-kun changed his roller into something without rubber…” “You’re so noisy.” Those kinds of mails… mini cars are fun, ne? I keep talking about this, ne? And there’s a mail like that.
From Fu-chan: “Massu, don’t you think you’ve been talking about mini cars too much? (lol)” I take mails from left to right and we’ll do that. …wait, what were we talking about? Oh yeah, so the stage play is done and we’re into mini cars now. So that’s what we were onto.
But the most is about the live tour and the release of ‘Chankapana’. This isn’t the time to talk about mini cars, ne? I should stiffen up! Since it’s already next week, it’ll be in 1, 2,3… 5 days from now. So let’s listen to it. NEWS’ ‘Chankapana’.
(‘Chankapana’ plays)
The song was brought to you by ‘Masuda Takahisa’s MASTER HITS’ on Bay FM. The song is NEWS’ new single releasing on July 18, ‘Chankapana’.
‘Masuda Takahisa’s MASTER HITS’ on Bay FM: I would like to introduce some mails.
First is from Hamster-chan: “This is my first time to send you a mail. The last time, we were talking about what we’ll be doing for the school festival and my classes decided on a gyoza stall. I thought I should let you know this first, so I mailed you. I hope to enjoy my last festival in high school.” That’s nice~. Maybe you buy the wrap and make it? That’s nice. Thank you so much for letting me know first. Maybe you sent the mail and might have told your mom even before I read it. But I’m glad. I might be the first one who received this mail. That’s good. Gyoza… but gyoza in school festival? There might be lots of people, right? I think I would pass all the other stalls. I’ll be like “Haunted house? I’ll pass. Crepe? I’ll pass. I have friends running the other stalls, but I’ll pass.” And I’ll just hang around in front of the gyoza stall. My imagination seems big, ne? That would be nice. I think I would like to go if I have time.
Next is from Shouko-chan. “For you, which do you like more: Eyelashes with mascara or false eyelashes? I like false eyelashes.” It seems hard to say the difference between eyelash with mascara and false eyelash… hmm… mascara is the ones that you paint on, right? And false ones are the ones you stick? I think mascara seems more natural. I like even just the ones that kind of curl. The ones that look like peacock (HAHAHAH WHAT?!) look heavy on the eyes. It might require a lot of muscles to open your eyes so it might look like you have to open your eyes wider. I really don’t know, but… that’s also for girls being stylish. I think you should go for whatever looks good on you. But if I were to choose, I would probably go for semi-mascara like the ones you just put a bit outside.
Next is from Yuka-chan: “The other day, I had an aroma massage for the first time in my life. Then I was told that my body’s sensitive to the cold. I thought it was just my hands and feet, so I was surprised. Apparently, you get it when you swim. I started swimming since I was in kinder and in middle and high school, I was a member of the swimming club. But when I started going to college, I only get to swim once a year. So I’m surprised that I’m still sensitive. Are you okay with these things?” I see… it can happen to people who are sensitive to heat, right? I’m sensitive to heat, but my hands get cold. And everyone says it’s cold, but my hands get warm. Maybe I’m warm-hearted too? Maybe I’m warm outside and think I’m sensitive to heat, but I’m actually cold inside? Maybe it’ll change if you take a bath at night and wear socks? Maybe buy the five-toes socks? It’s nice in the body too. So there’s an effect when you swim. Well, it’s not good to be sensitive to the cold. Maybe measures? Take Kampo (a kind of medicine) and take warm drinks and get massages? Sensitivity to the cold… so that’s when winter comes? Get warm and please take care of yourself.
Next is from Yuuki-chan: “I am having calligraphy in school now. I bought a new brush. I would like to take care of this brush and practice it while I’m in college. And I would like Massu to name the brush, please.” When it comes to giving names, I’m on it. Brush? …brush is hard. (laughs) It’s a writing brush, so… “Massumouhitsu”? (‘mouhitsu’ means writing brush in Japanese) With a different version… so… the character of the brush is on the length, so… ‘Takezou?’ ‘Take-chan’? If it’s black, ‘Takezou’. If it’s white, ‘Take-chan’. So maybe something like that.
Next, Aya-chan: “I’ve been practicing tennis, but my right hand started hurting that it feels heavy. So I bought a lighter racket as a replacement. The grip is white and the frame is black and white and I kind of like it. And I have a favor for Massu. Please give this racket a name.” Here it is. A racket. So it’s light and it’s a black and white racket. I wonder… since it’s black and white, maybe I want like a cow type of name. “More hits?” No, it won’t match. A cow? Or zebra? Zebra racket? So it’ll be… Zet? (laughs) Something like that.
Here’s the next song. NEWS’ ‘Beach Angel’.

This song is a coupling included in the regular edition of NEWS’ new single releasing on July 18 ‘Chankapana’. Before ‘Chankapana’ was decided, we had a demo of it and we all thought it was a really good song and we all loved it. We treasured this song and we all thought we should release it on the timing with ‘Chankapana’. And even the context of the song is perfect for us; we get to sing this because it’s us now. So we thought it would be perfect to release it now as coupling. And this song means a lot to us so I hope the fans would like it. So please do check it.
