Soldiers
I think I have a thing for soldiers.
There is something about them. Images and photography of soldiers has always interested me. They have an aura of exhaustion which makes me want to nurture and take care of them. My favorite images are those of sleeping soldiers. They usually still have their gear on, and are sleeping somewhere outdoors where it seems less than comfortable. Some have their arms around their guns, as if that's the only comfort they have.
Then when they show emotion when they're dressed in their gear, like you see them smiling when petting a kitten or they're giving food and water to starving children.
It just reminds me that there are people behind the entity that is our military. Not only that, but they are giving up so much to be a part of that entity. They are so easily made comfortable and they appreciate it greatly.
I think it might be a reason why I'm attracted to this guy. I think he could really appreciate my style of giving affection and showing love.
