thank God HY2241 yesterday morning wasnt so bad despite the ominous gas-chamber-lookalike exam hall! so thankful and happy about the questions that came out! so yes of course i did inhumanity and anti-semitism and genocide-d my entire paper through! as i said, a most depressing but enjoyable paper- depressing because the topics were tragic but enjoyable because ahaha genocide was probably really the only thing i had any idea about so i got very happy doing the essays yay.
3 days to study for my Mediterranean paper! good because, yes i do need the time- i am So lost from week 8 and the Dark Ages onwards-, bad because, the abundance of time keeps making me think, ah its okay, i have time to slack and i'm even more prone to procrastinate and to allowing myself to be distracted. but okay, this mod is enjoyable so at least studying for it wont be such a pain. (not like it was for south east bleeding asia. i was SO HAPPY to throw away notes for that mod!!)
tempus fugit indeed, cant believe its all gonna be over on monday at 3pm! disney marathon/sleepover with the Awesome lionesses (MOST of whom have already ended exams and are gloating HMPH) is the first thing to look forward to!
then it'll be revise german, plan and pack for germany! (and oops, i have yet to book my train ticket!)
sheng's already booked her flight so its confirmed she'll be coming over for a weekend! PRIMA! :)
so. i suppose year1 is going to end with a bang indeed :) i'm feeling so happy and contented now just knowing that its just one more paper to go and that there are so many things for me to look forward to and be excited about!
(of course THE most anticipated one being Deutschland and my sabbatical!! (FINALLY a Real break Away from Everything and from, okay i'll be honest, Everyone. 3 weeks, 4 weekends to be spent well, just Getting Away. its really a very much-needed and long-awaited-for period of reprieve.)
i cant wait to return to replaying and replaying my lion king in german and untergang and watching blackadder episodes and oh my, READING. being able to finally Read without stressing over having to sieve out salient content and getting facts into your head. reading without the cloud-hanging-over-your-head that you're going to be Tested on the material!
reading stuff i actually Want to read! haha there are so many things i want to re-read! starting with Pullman and Dark Materials, Shakespeare Secret, Dickens, Angela Carter.. and OMG lately i've been craving for ENID BLYTON believe it or not. and of course the ebooks i downloaded a long time ago still sitting idle in my com- the Bartimaeus trilogy (which i read way back in lower sec but wanted to reread again cos it was pretty cool), Mein Kampf (its in English yes), Anne Rice's Cry to Heaven (which was Awesome venetian-ness and operatic goodness and intriguingly dark so i want to reread heh).
but for now i'm going to get back to reading my Western Civilisation textbook! haha. Dark Ages HERE I COME.
