So last night was hell night, followed by this morning, which was, in fact, Living Hell.
I know, i know, i'm not the first to suffer from exam anxiety, or to have a project critique and final exam back to back, all before noon. but still. i'm not used to it and i feel like shit. It IS my fault for procrastinating until the last minute - I admit that though. So basically I did a half-ass job on my project and studied until i couldnt keep my eyes open (which, sadly, was only 3AM). I then had to promptly wake up for the 8:15 crit, which i went to in PJs, then march off to the exam at 10, having only been able to recall a tenth of what id looked at the night before. The test wasnt so bad, and my architecture prof actually liked my project.. but i feel like garbage and i was so dizzy after the exam i thought i might fall over on my way out. I dont know how ANYONE pulls an all-nighter. you must have to be a seasoned pro. my respect goes out to those people - especially those who can pull all-nighters and pass their classes.
Also, on another note, i would like to say what the FUCK is up with every single male anime fan online (or at all in general)? correct me if i'm wrong (and i'm sure in some very unique cases in which i'm wrong), but here is what ive noticed.
Anime fan boys are any or all of the following:
1. programmers or all-out computer nerds
2. taking a japanese class on the side
2 b. taking this japanese class on the side so that they can laugh pre-emptively at jokes at anime club showings and show off their mad skillz.
2 c. SUCK at japanese (and when i can tell, you know its bad, i know zero Japanese)
F. when online, cannot refrain from either
a. adding random annoying japanese blips which are probably all wrong anyway
b. talking INCESSANTLY about computers and computer programming
c. talking about both at the same time
I'm sorry, i cant handle it - and the trend continues to grow. Maybe there's just something in the gene pool that dictates the anime likingsworth must be joined with the Ultimate Nerd zygote (or whatever you call them) in all males. And i think they're secretly aware of it, too - when i joined the anime club freshman year, it was me and one other guy watching anime in his apartment - and this guy was actually semi-normal. The club was called Anime Geeks. next year, when the True Nerds took over, the name was INSTANTLY changed. Sure, they watch anime on a theatre-sized screen in a lecture hall now, and have 50-odd members.. but i stopped going. Greasy hair and pocket-protectors just dont do it for me.
