Is Facebook the new LJ? I always thought of LJ as the first in constant social updating and conversations that weren't email. It's like your own topic forum, complete with available responses and the ability to comment. But, where is everyone? My con friends seem so far away right now, albeit I could text, but it's nice to pop on here and see ( Read more... )

Facebook is like a casual open house party, good for keeping up with the basics of everyone's lives, while LJ is for much more in depths windows into their lives and for conversations worth having. I find they complement each other so well.

... well, except for the "s" after in depth, d'oh! ... but I do use the two together. I don't update much here on LJ, but I read everyone still and write when I feel I have something to say ;-)

Oh, that's alright, no one here is grading your grammar... not today, at least. Maybe tomorrow ;-) I do the same as you - I find that LJ is great when I have a lot to say or really need to vent. Facebook is for the nonsense that I feel like posting just so some folks know that I am still alive.
