Is Facebook the new LJ? I always thought of LJ as the first in constant social updating and conversations that weren't email. It's like your own topic forum, complete with available responses and the ability to comment. But, where is everyone? My con friends seem so far away right now, albeit I could text, but it's nice to pop on here and see what everyone is up to.
I know I'm guilty of not updating and I blame that on my activities, probably that's everyone elses's excuse as well. I'm on Facebook, but I don't post there what I post here and I don't post here what I post there, because it's pittily shit. Here I can voice opinions and not have to worry that my step-mother (or my mother) for that matter will be calling me up questioning my views. Instead, FB seems to be the place to Farm, have Mafia Wars, tackle a Kingdom and tell people that you're "going to the store on evil Christmas Eve" when really..NO ONE CARES!
Don't get me wrong, I love it when I see my Confriends/family updating, they seem to be the only ones that I care about because they're so far away. Other than that, I wonder how much longer I'll stay on FB, because I think it of no interest to me longterm. I much prefer staying on LJ purely for Fandom reasons..and with that being said, I'm diligently working on submissions for INFINITUS, coordinating the Live! Human Combat Wizard Chess Show to be performed on the Thursday of INFINITUS, the last few chapters of my Sirius/Hermione story and eager to start a new one.
*Side note, my husband found me a HARRY POTTER SNUGGIE for Christmas!
