Why this must be read/seen: I love the Ultimate universe, and I love Ult Steve and Tony. Ellyr writes them well, Tony's odd combination of casualness and tight control, and Steve's spikiness and vulnerability. In this fic, Tony is pushy and Steve is grumpy, but it's quite clear that the push/pull just a part of their friendship. The scene-setting is nicely done, too, just enough detail to give a real feeling of solidity and location.

The man may be a military genius, but he's got no patience sometimes when it comes to documents that factor into next year's black-ops budget appropriations.
