My daughter's 5th birthday party
Today we had my daughter's birthday party at my in-laws house. We normally have it here and combine it with a Labor Day weekend barbeque (my daughter was actually born on Labor Day which was also her due date). However with the condition that my back has been in there was no way I was going to be able to cook and clean in preparation for a big party so my MIL agreed to have it at her house. Everyone had a great time and my daughter received a lot of very nice gifts. The big hit of the party was the Littlest Pet Shop Whirl Around Playground that she has been wanting since before last Christmas. My husband taped it all and I can't wait to watch it! Tomorrow is her actual birthday, (which is the same as Autumn_Slumber, one of my favorite authors, so a Happy Birthday goes out to her as well!) so she'll open her gifts from us then. She received some dollhouse furniture for the Loving Family Twin Time Dollhouse, which she doesn't have so I guess I know one of the gifts Santa will be getting her this year. Shortly after we got home it was her bedtime and she insisted on bringing her Whirl Around Playground to bed with her and she played with it for a little bit before falling to sleep. Hubby is asleep as well and I'm sitting here on the couch in a sugar induced laziness brought on by eating too much cake.
