Birthday Party & Bulging Disks

I've put my back out...again. I've had a bad back for years but a month ago was the worst. The pain was so bad that my husband had to call 911 because I couldn't get off the couch and at the hospital they couldn't get the spams to stop without an intra-muscular shot of muscle relaxers. I got an MRI a few days after that and it showed bulging disks. Fast forward a month and here I am trying to get the house ready for my daughter's 5th birthday party and stop the presses, I put my back out again (thankfully not as bad as a month ago). Today is the first time in 3 days I've been able to walk upright. Now you would think that I aggrevated it by doing something stupid, like scrubbing the kitchen floor but no, I did it while getting my hair done. Apparently my back doesn't like being reclined in a chair for even short periods of time. With my daughter's party scheduled for this Saturday and me not able to clean or cook (we combine her party with a Labor Day b-b-q) what is a parent to do? Why move the party to my mother-in-law's house of course. Sounds good to me because my MIL can put out a spread of food faster than you can imagine and it takes the pressure off my husband and I to try and get this all done while he's working 12 hour shifts and me barely able to get off the couch.

However, being stuck on the couch has it's advantages. Ok, my house is a mess but hey, I've had time to work on my HP recs list and get a few ebay auctions scheduled to start this weekend so I am getting something done at least.
