Facebook killed the LJ Star......
Four years ago, when I had my old journal LJ seemed very much alive and full of people who wanted to interact. Three years later I came back to my old journal and I would say 98% of my friends list was defunct. I wrote in it for about 6 months and decided to ditch it because it was full of enteries I was ready to move on from. Last week I had that itch to start a new journal and here I am today, starting over.
I readded a few old friends (hoping for a LJ comeback) and thankfully starpush is still here to keep me company but my LJ friends list is seriously lacking. I added a few new friends like dreamswithtea and noir_au_blanc who I think I will get along fabulously with but Im finding it a bit hard to make connections . I was thinking about doing one of those "add me" post from a community but Im feeling a bit awkward about it. A lot of the communities I came across are full of teenage posters or those who speak Russian, which would make it just a wee bit difficult for me to relate to.
My question is, how did you acquire your current connections and do you have any suggestions of current friends or communities that you think I would enjoy? So there you have it, todays entry, about a girl who feels like shes stuck in 5th grade again, being the last person to be picked for kickball. :)
