The Story Continues...
So here's the update. I finally have a new job and I'm getting away from Applied Materials (Thank the gods!). After 4 years I'm glad to be gone from it. Though right now I'm having to suffer through a long and dull orientation covering topics I already know due to the fact that I've already worked for this company before and really don't need this absolutely basic information that they seem to insist I do need. I started writing this entry basically to keep me awake. I tried to get out of it, but the trainer remembered me...and my less that stellar attentiveness in his last class that I was with him in (and the less than stellar review that I gave him because of how terrible a class it was. *sigh*
Life seems to be finally taking a positive direction for the time being. Most of the drama is finally settling, it was great finally getting this new job, despite this damned orientation, and everything is steadily returning to normal *phew*. The car is running a little strangely though. I'm probably going to have to bring it into the show because of the fact that the battery light keeps coming on, and when it does, the headlights and dash lights dim...hmmm, not good. The motorcycle is getting a new rear tire at last, so that I can actually go and ride it again now that the weather has improved *cheer!*
On a crazy footnote, I did my longest and probably best workout yesterday. 6ish mile run on an elliptical machine...1 hr, 1145 calories. I'm losing weight, and so far doing awesome, I might start looking better soon enough. ^.^
I'm now about two and a half hours into my 16 hour shift for the day; on 4.5 hours sleep...we'll see how long it takes before I just fall unconcious. The trainer is boring, I'm resisting the urge to break out my laptop (which I failed miserably in that respect), and I'm trying my hardest by writing this to stay awake. No guarantees though on how long this will last though...I can only ramble so much about my boring life.
I wrote this in my moleskine, which amazingly is the most I've ever written in it due to owning my Macbook nowadays. I'm transcribing this to my LJ now that I'm on the laptop. That is how bored I am. I will probably work on my D&D character for a game I don't even know I'll be able to get into to kill the rest of the morning to keep me from going unconcious.
The only other positive note is I heard back from someone I emailed, which I was hoping for...and she's cute...we'll see how it goes from here *high hopes*. Anyway, I'm done rambling now, time for my nap to sleep through this damnable orientation
