Obsession of the Month (where I get all sappy over the underdog)
I think I just might be a bit obsessed with Boomer on Battlestar Galactica as of late (see my 16 icons of her). It's not that I think she's the best character or actress (coughkateetriciacough), but she has very unique storyline (and I'm not even talking about Helo's version).
Boomer was carrying on a illicit affair with someone below her rank and while Tyrol loved her, he was filled with such guilt over Socinus that be broke it off. And on top of that she undergoes moments of amnesia and dissociative fugue that completely terrify her.
Now while Grace Park may be a bit weak on the acting, there are a few scenes that are just so heart-wrenching, for example the complete look of innocence and confusion after she shoots Adama in KBL part2. That's what I think makes her so fascinating.
So while Katee and Tricia continue to deliver consistent performances and are my favorites (especially in Scar and Downloaded, respectively), we see that at times Grace exceeds her potential, becomes her character completely, and that makes her absolutely fantastic. After all, they didn't hire her for no reason.
Plus, she so damn photogenic.
